Located in the pretty hamlet of Warenton, this property is just a short drive from Bamburgh, home to an iconic castle, golden sandy beaches and a selection of independent restaurants, shops and cafes. Enjoy memorable day trips to the Farne Islands or wander the pretty streets of Craster or Alnwick. With miles of walking and cycling routes in the area, this is a fantastic location for getting outside in the fresh air and discovering new places.

Inside, the accommodation is spacious and bright with vaulted ceilings, exposed beams and oak furniture throughout. The heart of this holiday home is the spectacular lounge/dining room, which boasts a hardwood floor, high vaulted ceiling with exposed trusses and beams, a large fireplace with wood burner and large glass doors opening onto the patio. Enjoy meals together at the table before retreating to the comfortable sofas where you will find a LED TV with Apple TV which gives access to YouTube, Now Tv, Amazon Prime and Netflix (guests would need to bring their logins to use these facilities). There is also a BluRay DVD Player and a games console. There is a good selection of films and games for guests to enjoy. The kitchen is modern and well-equipped with an electric hob and oven, fridge freezer, slimline dishwasher and washer/dryer. The kitchen offers plenty of surface space for preparing meals. Also, on this level is a bathroom with bath and overhead shower. From the hallway, three carpeted stairs lead up to the bedrooms. The spacious master bedroom boasts a king-size bed, wardrobe and dressing table, while one step up takes you into the en-suite shower room with WC. There is a further double and a twin, both featuring matching oak furniture.

Glass doors open from the lounge/diner onto a sunny rear patio, which leads on to a good-sized enclosed lawn area beyond. To the front of the house is a small garden with a bench for admiring the gorgeous rural views with the sea in the distance. Perfect for enjoying your morning cup of coffee. There is a off-road parking available for two cars.

Lovely spacious farm cottage. Has everything you need. Lovely hamper with essentials( milk butter bread orange juice and eggs plus treats) The only downside was the back garden which isnt escape proof for some dogs! So would advise taking a long line if you think your dog will jump over a 2 foot wall!

We had a great stay at Blue Barn. It was a fantastic base for us to visit the locations we were hoping to. Its situated in a lovely small hamlet and it was lovely to step out of the door to take the dogs for walks down quiet country roads. The facilities in the cottage were very good, and it has a well equipped kitchen. It was lovely to have a smalRead morel private garden for our grandsons and the dogs to enjoy. Hide

Lovely converted barn in a good location just far enough in the countryside but close enough to local shops and the coast. Nice views and can see the sea from the front of the house. To the back there is a nice enclose garden for kids and dogs to play in. Large kitchen and lounge/dining area was ample. Lovely cottage in a lovely location. Owners obviously trying to provide everything guests may need. Kitchen could do with a revamp. Garden is not enclosed or secure. We could not access any garden furniture.

Just had a weeks holiday at Blue Barn, lovely location very quiet but not far from the main road. There were four adults & three dogs in our party & we all had plenty of room. Really appreciated the welcome box of goodies especially after a long journey. We had a wonderful stay at Blue Barn in May, the cottage is lovely and the photos dont do it justice. The kitchen is very well equipped and has everything you could possibly need for a self catering holiday. We had great weather and were able to use the outdoor furniture and the bbq which is provided. We were really grateful for the welcome basket Read moreon arrival after a long journey. If youre staying over a weekend we highly recommend a Sunday roast at the Tankerville Arms in Eglingham. Hide

Thank you to the owners of Blue Barn Northumberland for letting us stay at this beautiful barn. It had everything we could possibly need for a much needed relaxing stay. The comfort and cleanliness was fab and location great, just off the A1 and easy to get to explore beautiful Northumberland. We hope to return next year.

A lovely peaceful place, well located for tourist hotspots or remote beaches, been twice now, and both times well kept and in good order. Local shops in Belford, cosy place to hunker down when the wind blows.

Blue Barn is a great place to stay, ideal location for the coast. The rear garden is enclosed by a low stone wall, and is sheltered from the wind so would be a great little sun trap. This is a beautiful house. Really well equipped, comfortable, clean, warm. Beautiful location and not far from A1 for exploring the area. We loved it. Accessible shower but be mindful of a few internal steps if booking for a person with mobility problems.

Blue Barn is a lovely place to stay if you want to explore Northumberland. It is in very quiet location, so for city dwellers like us it was pure joy. We would happily recommend!

Really well placed in an idyllic pictured hamlet, lovely walk from the door too and great garden. Looking a bit tired but lovely and clean and very spacious, we had 4 adults and 3 dogs and still was spacious.

Perfect place for all of us. We were a party of 5 adults, a lively toddler and a 5 month old baby. Blue Barn had everything we needed and we loved it. Very well equipped kitchen with all mod cons. Our party of 4 slept together in the king size room with plenty of space for our toddler mattress. Lovely garden, secure space off the lounge. Blue Barn is a tastefully furnished cottage in a quiet, peaceful location 5 minutes off the A1.
