Excellent location, lovely cottage, the only complaint I could argue with that it was a little TLC is needed,ie cupboards the Formica had peeled off, the blinds in the bedroom,at the bottom the beading had come off. Otherwise everything was fine. Thanks John Middleton.

A lovely cosy cottage overlooking the harbour. We found the heated towel rail in the downstairs toilet a godsend as the weather wasn't very kind. Having a utility room on entering the backdoor was very convenient when dealing with a soggy dog! It suited us perfectly (2 adults and a spaniel). It's on the coastal footpath and it doesn't take long to Read moredrive to some wonderful, dog-friendly beaches. Hide

The cottage location, as you would guess by its name, overlooks Craster harbour and is perfect if you love looking out to sea. The facilities were very good and the cottage itself was cosy and homely. Waking up to a sunrise over the sea each morning was magnificent and I really miss the sound of the waves at night. We visited many places & I would Read morerecommend Dunstanburgh & Bamburgh Castles especially. Barter Books in Alnwick was a surprising little place and I could have spent all day there if there hadn't been other places we wanted to visit. The Cottage Inn in nearby Dunstan village serves good food and Pinnacles fish & chips in Seahouses is also good. I'm sure we'll use Cottages in Northumberland again - possibly even the same cottage as it was such a good holiday. Hide

What a super place Northumberland is. We stayed in Harbour View Cottage and it was fine. We intend to visit the area again later this year. If you go there do the boat trip from Seahouses to the Farne Islands - ours was in June when all the sea birds were there also saw seals and dolphins.
