A newly refurbished holiday cottage with views of Alnwick Castle, perfectly located for exploring both coast and countryside.

Close to the market town of Alnwick and its varied facilities, this cottage is ideal for a couple or small family looking for a Northumberland getaway. Enjoy the friendly pubs, restaurants, shops and the weekly market in town, as well as the famous local attractions the area boasts. Alnwick Castle (of Harry Potter fame) and The Alnwick Gardens are both on the doorstep, while the beach at Alnmouth is just a 10 minute drive from the property. There’s also a superb golf course for you to enjoy. Warkworth Castle, village and beach are also nearby.

This cosy home-from-home offers a fantastic bolthole for exploring the area. Enter the house into the lounge, which has invitingly comfortable seating centred around a feature fireplace with electric stove. There’s also a smart TV, perfect for evenings in, as well as a Bluetooth Hi-fi, a bookcase full of books and games for you to enjoy during your stay. Head through to the kitchen/diner, which has a table with seating for three. The fully-equipped, modern kitchen includes a ceramic hob and electric oven, microwave and fridge/freezer, as well as toaster, kettle and cafetiere. There’s also a washing machine, clothes airer, iron and ironing board. Upstairs you’ll find the master bedroom with king-size bed and breath-taking views of Alnwick Castle and the surrounding countryside. The second bedroom has a single bed, while the bathroom has a shower over the bath and WC.

From the kitchen, head down a couple of steps onto the patio area and enjoy your morning coffee at the bistro table and chairs. Further steps lead down into the landscaped garden, while at the front of the property there is off-road parking on the driveway for one car.

In a perfect location for exploring the East coast and in a very quiet location this little cottage is superb for up to three people. The property has everything you need for quiet nights in and is well equipped with books, dvd's and even board games if the weather is unkind. Brilliant comfortable small house, very clean and well equipped. Walking distance to the town centre, restaurants, pubs and Alnwick castle and gardens. We enjoyed a lovely autumn week here.

Small and perfectly formed! Immaculately clean, very well equipped and nicely furnished. The beds were very comfy. Nice quiet location only a few minutes walk to the town centre. One of the best cottages we have stayed in.

Very well situated for exploring Alnwick and the local area. The cottage was well appointed with some lovely touches such as food for the bird feeders in the garden. Beautifully clean and presented. The owners really had thought of everything. We would definitely recommend this cottage to others.

The house is very comfortable and in a quiet area only a short walk away from the centre of Alnwick. Lots of things to do in and around Alnwick, could easily have spent another week.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hedgehope and it was a great base for our holiday. It had everything we needed whether staying in or going out and about. Every little detail was thought of though out the house.
