This was my third stay here, because the cottage is excellent! It's comfortable, clean and very well equipped. The location is great, within walking distance of Rothbury and with a stunning view into the Coquet Valley. This is a super base for exploring both the coast and countryside of Northumberland.

First rate. Very clean and comfortable for two of us. We enjoyed the location in the countryside but close enough to get to the coast and Alnwick. Log burner was a feature to come home to on rather dull cool days. Great views. Comfortable bed. It all made for a really pleasant break. We never once switched on the tv nor did we buy a newspaper. Hotspur Cottage is a true home from home experience. It is beautifully and thoughtfully presented and contains everything that you could possibly want or need. The cottage was impeccably clean and lacked nothing. I need to mention the Rothbury Bakery which you simply cannot miss! Dog owners need to be aware that the proprietors of the neighboring pRead moreroperty (Percy) have a CCTV camera but no lock on their gate. If your dog even looks into their garden they do not hesitate to complain! Be warned Hide
