The cottage is attractive, in a good location, the kitchen is well equipped, response to problems with the TV was excellent and the towels were good. Unfortunately, it lacks care care and attention to detail. I would recommend it if the owner attended to all the issues I have pointed out separately were attended to, but at present I cannot.

We were disappointed by the condition and cleanliness of the property, it was tired and shabby, it needed a good overhaul to bring it up to an acceptable standard. The surroundings were lovely but spoilt by the close proximity of the other lodges/cottages.

Great location, very comfortable and cosy, great directions to find cottage. We particularly enjoyed dark skies stargazing.

Pheasant cottage was aptly named with pheasants abundant in the vicinity- even standing on the wall and looking into the cabin on a few occasions. The cabin was clean, tidy and spacious enough for our holiday requirements. Local attractions are numerous and the many historical sites are quite breathtaking e.g. Bamburgh, Alnwick, Warkworth, Craster Read moreetc. Definitely worth a repeat booking. Hide

This is a lovely little cottage that would suit a couple or a family of 3. It has a great location for walks but there are also lots of cultural things to see and do.
