Charming cottage inside the Northumberland National park between the villages of Harbottle and Alwinton. with the river Coquet running nearby. Comfortable pet friendly and an excellent location albeit rather isolated. Worth asking for a comprehensive inventory list prior to arrival. Also beware nearby area is controlled by the MoD for army exerciseRead mores. The very attractive village of Thorbury is 15 mins drive away. Hide

Lovely lodge, very warm and cosy. The owner had even left a welcome pack of basic food essentials to use. Beautiful location ideal for walks with dogs. We hope to go back a different time of year when the weather maybe kinder.

I would recommend to someone who really wanted to get away. For us it was probably slightly too remote but we enjoyed our stay.

The cottage is located in an area that has lovely views, very peaceful, the only noise you hear is either birds singing or water from the nearby river flowing. Not too far from the coast, where you can walk the coastal path and stumple across some beautiful beaches.
