We had a nice time and enjoyed the cottage, being very spacious and quite well equipped (and great WiFi!), nice furniture and quite comfortable. Enjoyed the beaches, castles, Lindisfarne along the causeway, and more. Out on the boat to see the Seals lovely. Recommend the Joiners Arms, but there are many great pubs and restaurants around here.

We've never visited the area or considered it as a holiday destination before so we were surprised with everything Northumberland had to offer and we'll definitely be back! A lovely house ideally situated close to beaches but in a rural location with a great view of the stars of an evening. The beaches are amazing, beautiful and there's so many of Read morethem in such close proximity to the house. Excellent facilities, Mr W always takes his knives with him and usually feels like he's "making do with the kitchen facilities when we stay at a holiday home, but not with this one... Very impressive! We've never visited the area or considered it as a holiday destination before so we were surprised with everything Northumberland had to offer and we'll definitely be back! The beaches are amazing, beautiful and there's so many of them in such close proximity to the house. Beautiful house with plenty of toys for my son to play with (he ignored all the toys we'd brought with us to entertain him!) Highly recommended, a real gem! Hide

The cottage was situated in a rural area affording peace and quiet. Many of the sensational beaches were only 10 to 20 minutes away. They were unbelievably empty most of the time. Our favourite places we visited were Newton by the sea, Cragside (fabulous) and Bamborough Castle

First impressions of the cottage didn't do it justice. The location is excellent and it is comfortable enough to relax in after a day of walking in beautiful Northumberland. The local beaches are gorgeous and castles well worth a visit, especially Alnwick for a day. All the coast is simply breathtaking....easily some of the best in the UK.

We enjoyed our stay in Northumberland. The cottage met all of our basic requirements and although it was a little remote away from the main village, it had good access to the A1 and was never more than 30 minutes away from local attractions.

Loved the toys and games to keep kids (and grown ups) busy when we were indoors. Would recommend to families or couples wanting a romantic break. Wish we'd had longer...
