Located in the centre of Embleton, this stunning cottage is a perfect base for those who enjoy golfing and walking holidays and offers beautiful views and easy beach access.

This two-bedroom cottage is packed full of character. Once the site of the house of Embleton's Quarry Master, it was constructed using the local Whinstone from which it derives its name, providing the property with a rich history and nature all of its own. Overlooking the entire village, this property offers incredible sea views from the rear of the cottage, reaching down towards the beach and golf course at Dunstanburgh. The village acts as a perfect base for walkers, and if you stroll down the one-mile country track, taking you past the golf club, you'll emerge onto blue seas and gorgeous beaches. Everything you need is within reach, including cuisine from around the world! Just seconds from the front door sits Sambuca, an authentic Italian restaurant offering mouth-watering food at extremely reasonable prices.

Enter the single-storey cottage and be greeted by a traditional stone flagged hallway, leading into a lounge full of light and space. This openness gives the cottage a light, airy atmosphere, which is only enhanced by the stunning sea views. Enjoy cosy nights in, with a double sofabed and two easy chairs, a multitude of books, and an original stone chimney breast complete with a wood burner situated in the feature fireplace, all creating a relaxing ambience and rustic touch. Prepare a delicious meal in the handy kitchen, fully equipped with table and chairs, fridge/freezer,gas hob, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, and a washing machine.. Touches of original period features are everywhere, from the antique dining table to the grandfather clock in the entrance hall. As this property is all on one level, you'll also find the two bedrooms further down the hall, a king-size master bedroom and the smaller single room, as well as a spacious bathroom with steps down into, complete with a shower over the bath and WC.

From the lounge, French doors open out onto a private enclosed garden bordered by a small fence and complete with a bench, ideal for relaxing on a summer's evening or taking in the spectacular sea views.

We just loved this cottage and its location - we had a great holiday.

Lovely cottage, comfortable and dog friendly. Some reviewers have commented that the decor is tired - true to an extent but this doesn't impact on comfort and is no bad thing with dogs (or kids for that matter!). Fabulous views, about 15 mins walk from the beach and a dog friendly local pub with good food just across the road. Would go back.

Excellent village location close to sea. Cottage warm, comfortable and very clean but initial supply of fuel only amounted to two logs and a handful of kindling which was disappointing. Bed extremely comfortable. Good supply of kitchen equipment just take your own sharp knives if you like cooking! Great for the dogs with wood and slate floors. Great location for exploring the beautiful Northumbria Coastline. 45 min walk along the coast to Craster, with beautiful views of Dunstanburgh Castle. Fantastic food in the Jolly Fisherman, with views across the sands and sea. 30 min walk along the sands to Lower Newton, lovely pub there, I cannot recall the name. Hallway and single bedroom smelt of damp if we had had a child or third person with us we would have been very reluctant to use that bedroom.

A really spacious, quirky cottage in a wonderful location. Not a pristine environment, but a very homely, comfortable place to stay - we definitely recommend it. And the pub opposite is very friendly.

Good location and views down to the bay. Greys Inn is very handy for food and drink and is dog friendly. Local shop handy for essentials.

Location is superb, beautiful view from the rear of the property. The beach is within walking distance and is stunning with a handy golf club to have coffee or lunch. Area is very quiet with lots of birds.

This cottage requires updating throughout. The furniture and fittings are tired. The bathroom was dirty and the front of the dishwasher falls off when you open the door. No table and chairs in the garden to eat and enjoy the lovely view. No bbq. Garden is enclosed for dogs but scruffy. Two old dustins on lawn for no reason and a full ashtray in garRead moreden on our arrival. Great location for the beach but I'm afraid not worth the money compared to other cottages we've hired.
