Set on the edge of the beautiful Brecon Beacons. Something for everyone, with magnificent walks and wildlife, a river babbling by at the end of the garden and coastal and city life a short drive away.

On the very edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, this sweet terraced cottage, refurbished in 2018, is well placed for walkers and cyclists. Less than a mile to all facilities at Ystradgynlais. Lots to see and do for all ages including the nearby National Show Caves of Wales at Dan yr Ogaf, where there is even a dinosaur park to enjoy. The market towns of Llandeilo and Llandovery are a short drive and have a good range of independent shops and eateries. The city of Swansea is just 15 miles with several retail parks, music and sporting venues and beaches beginning at the Mumbles and extending right into the Gower.

Entering this cottage straight into the cosy lounge, with a contemporary country style, with sofa and chairs laid around the warming wood burner, making this an excellent base any time of the year. This leads to a snug with TV/DVD, music system and French doors to the rear garden and onto the open-plan kitchen/diner. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge. The staircase from the lounge leads to the sleeping accommodation. There are two bedrooms, a master double bedroom and a twin bedroom. There is a bathroom with bath, separate shower and WC.

Outside to the lovely rear enclosed garden. There is an outdoor utility room with washing machine and freezer and a separate WC. The garden itself has patio, lawn, charcoal BBQ and leads right onto the river, which is gated off. There is a rustic fire pit and logs to sit on by the river, ideal for those looking for somewhere different to enjoy a glass of wine in the evenings. There is roadside parking, subject to availability.

It is the loveliest cottage we have been to.

What a lovely place to stay! Everything had been thought of as far as equipment requirements were concerned, and it was furnished as a very comfortable and tasteful home, not as a holiday cottage. It was spotlessly clean and situated in a truly glorious area. Having the river at the bottom of the garden pleased all my family and also the dog! ThereRead more is so much to explore and most of it is within easy reach of the cottage. Amazing! Hide

Excellent location. River at bottom of garden was heaven to our Cocker spaniel. Cottage was comfortable and had everything we needed. Shops are close by and fantastic location to explore the Brecon Beacons. Highly recommend.

Lovely cottage which has recent been decorated. Cosy feel to the place and well equipped. Very close to all major walks/attractions in the Brecon Beacons and the local village has everything you need from provisions, to take aways, to pubs. Will definitely come back again.

The cottage is comfortable, well-equipped and very well located. There are lovely walks from the doorstep and numerous places to visit nearby, eg: Dan yr Ogof caves, waterfalls, castles and Pen y Fan. The neighbours are super helpful and friendly too!
