The Davies family made us welcome on arrival, were available if needed, and gave us good advice on walking in the Forest. The house is very convenient for visiting the Forest of Dean. The property is attached to the owners house. As we live in a modern apartment, the property felt a bit old-fashioned, but was perfectly adequate, once you had taken Read moreits age into account. Access to the garden from the conservatory is via steps, which for us elderly people was tricky. A handrail would be useful. Hide

We loved this cottage! The situation is wonderful - close to all sorts of great places to visit, and very close to the forest for dog walks. The garden is lovely, and the cottage very comfortable. Would definitely consider returning.

This is an excellent property the bed was excellent and large. Facilities were more than enough with great coffee makers !!! The host are very friendly and not at all in your face considering close proximity. Plenty of parking and the conservatory was great to wind down after a days walking.

Our stay was perfect, thank you to Nick and his lovely family who made us feel at home and were always on hand and went to extra lengths to make the cottage ours for the week. Conveniently situated for exploring throughout the area. In easy reach of supermarkets and other food outlets. Lovely large garden. There is an open fire in sitting room which really helps overall warm. Enough logs were supplied for one fire only, after that visitors must buy their own.

Absolutely fantastic holiday! We had the most fantastic weather, spent most of the time in the garden. The cottage was fully equipped with everything we needed including a bbq which we used. I would highly recommend the cottage and location. We took our dog, an Akita who loved the walks through the Forest of Dean which is over the road.

A homely cottage situated within the Forest of Dean. Walks into the forest start from the lane opposite and most major attractions are only fifteen to twenty minutes drive away at most. The owners were friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome and the cottage was equipped with most things needed for a couple of weeks away.

The dividing walll between the owners house and the annex is made up of fold back windows which was a bit strange as we could hear noise through them and see people walking by. Although it is obscure glass it made us feel a bit uncomfortable.
