This beautiful detached barn is located in a great spot for those requiring a peaceful holiday, or for those wishing to enjoy all that Somerset has to offer with its convenient location. Walkers will have a choice of walks virtually on the doorstep, plus cycle routes or perhaps bird watching at a RSPB Nature Reserve on the Somerset Levels ideal for keen bird watchers and nature lovers alike. Visit the sandy and dramatic beaches of Burnham-on-Sea or enjoy a day out slightly further afield at the seaside towns of Lyme Regis and West Bay. There are attractions for all tastes with Glastonbury Tor, Cheddar Gorge, the cathedral city of Wells, Clarks Village at Street, or the many National Trust properties.

Step up a few external stone steps and enter this beautiful single-storey property with wooden oak flooring throughout, exposed beams and quirky features. The open-plan accommodation opens into the light and airy lounge/sun room/kitchen/diner. In the summer you can open the door to let the outside in and relax with a book in the sun room, or in the cooler months snuggle up on the comfy sofa and watch the seasons change in front of the wood burner while watching your favourite programme on the Smart TV. The well-equipped kitchen area has an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washer/dryer, perfect for trying out new recipes or old family favourites. From here enter the king-size bedroom with a contemporary en-suite shower room with shower and WC.

Venturing outside there is a raised seating area overlooking the shared open courtyard. There is also the added benefit of a beautiful garden approached via a path with seating and a charcoal BBQ making it a perfect spot to enjoy a BBQ, or a place to relax and enjoy a glass of wine. There is also off-road parking for two cars in the courtyard at the front of the property.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

We have just stayed at this lovely cottage which is done to a very high standard and would definitely stay here again. It is set in a beautiful and very quiet location. There are nearby walks of different lengths from the flat ones at nearby Hams RSPB to Glastonbury Tor. The owners are very friendly and happy to offer advice on good pubs to eat at Read moreor places to visit. It is in easy reach of Glastonbury Abbey, Wells Cathedral and Frome. RHS Rosemoore is further away but well worth a visit. Hide

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at The Old Dairy! The owners were very friendly and welcoming and the property was extremely comfortable and well-equipped. The location of The Old Dairy was perfect as there was lots to do and see nearby, including quite a few National Trust properties which is handy as we are members. The Old Dairy was lovely. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Great location for getting out and about. Also the Ashcott inn was near by and walkable. Great food and very dog friendly. Worth a visit to Wells cathedral, which is also dog friendly. Simply fab! Stunning cottage in extremely well kept grounds. Waking up to birds singing and no traffic noise at all. Just perfect for a very tranquil break. Location is ideal to explore towns as well as the coast. Owners are very friendly, ready to help if needed and discrete.

The property was to an exceptionally high standard, the kitchen was well equipped, the bed extremely comfortable, the dog was made to feel as welcome as the humans, her own towels and treats left for her, The property had it own garden that had a fire pit and logs provided, loungers table and chairs as well as a barbeque, we did not get an opportunRead moreity to use due to weather but inside the property we had a log burner which on a damp cold evening was ideal the location was perfect for exploring. We had created a long list of all the super positives but just seen that we only have 500 characters. First of all, the owners are very gracious, lovely and supportive. This is a brand new conversion and has been fitted out to a very high standard. Everything has been thought of to ensure a wonderful guest experience. Just got back from a long weekend at the old dairy . It was such a perfect holiday , the surroundings were picturesque and the barn had everything we needed . It was modern and well equipped. The bed was so comfy, the gardens so stunning and the fire so romantic. It was just all so perfect. I would love to come back again. It was like a fairytale.
