Stables retreat is a lovely cottage in a brilliant location. It is very well equipped and the owners provided a generous supply of basic items such as cooking oil, clingfilm etc.. We particularly liked the peace and quiet and the easy access to The Dales, The Lakes and the Forest of Bowland. After two weeks we still had plenty of places we would haRead moreve liked to visit. We did have a slight issue with the heating but Ella and Matt were on hand to sort things out. Overall an excellent holiday. Hide

Absolutely fabulous cottage, everything you need was provided and more. We used What three words at the suggestion of Ella and found the location quite easily. Whilst we aren't walkers and one member of the party has mobility issues the cottage is in a fabulous location. We visited Kirkby Lonsdale itself on a couple of occasions, a meal in the RoyaRead morel Hotel and of course a few drinks in the brewery. Kendal, Ingleton and boat trip on Lake Windermere. The Highwayman is fabulous for a meal. Hide

Well appointed, very comfortable cottage which lacks nothing, in a great location.
