The cottage was fabulous and very well equipped. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The cottage is in a lovely quiet location but it was a nightmare to find in the dark. It is 1.5 miles down a very narrow road with no lights. It is on Laitha Lane but we didn't see the road sign from the direction we were travelling so we went passeRead mored it. We missed the entrance to the courtyard and ended up on a bridle path. We struggled to get our Rav 4 in to the courtyard as it was too big. Hide

Fabulous cottage in a brilliant location if you use the well kept public footpath down to kirkby lonsdale it only takes about 15 minutes. The cottage is well equipped and very comfortable. The upside down arrangement with the living area on the first floor works brilliantly. We found the location perfect for our needs with great walking from the door in a beautiful part of the country. Being within walking of Kirkby Lonsdale was another plus, and there are good pubs close by too. MatRead moret snd Ella were perfect hosts and we would happily return. Many thanks! Hide

We had a fantastic stay at the cottage. The cottage had everything we needed, was very well equipped. It was spotlessly clean and we felt very welcomed by Ella. A nice walk down to the town and also a short distance to a pub serving great food! We will definitely be back!

This is a great property in a great location, (although the directions were not easy to follow, which Ella the owner agreed with and hopefully this has now been improved). The cottage is beautifully and tastefully furnished and with the addition of a wood burner which made it really cosy. There was plenty of space for 4 adults, although kitchen areaRead more was a bit tight, but we did feel it needed a shower in the on suite bathroom and also maybe a dishwasher instead of a washing machine. Such a wonderful cottage and an excellent location to explore Cumbria and Yorkshire from. The owner made us very welcome and couldn't have been more friendly. Fencing and a gate was added to the patio area which was great for the dogs in the evening as it saved us from having to go out for a late walk before bed!

Nice little upside down cottage, ideally situated close to Kirkby Lonsdale. The cottage had everything we needed for a self catering two day break. Bedrooms/bathrooms are downstairs and the living room and kitchen upstairs. The area is ideal for dogs. We could let the dog off the lead 100 yards from leaving the property as there is a public bridle Read moreway that takes you passed the golf course and down to Devils Bridge. Would love to go back in the summertime. Hide
