Ground-floor stable conversion property sleeping two guests, clustered around an attractive courtyard alongside other holiday cottages, situated just a short walk from Ventnor seafront.

This attractively converted stable is located just a short distance to the west of the main beach in the seaside resort of Ventnor, on the southern coast of the Isle of Wight. Just next to the property, Ventnor Park Gardens make for a pleasant place to walk, and perhaps spend an enjoyable afternoon on the putting green. The seafront in Ventnor is reminiscent of times past, with deckchair hire, an array of small shops selling snacks and seaside paraphernalia, and a children’s paddling pool. For a quieter beach experience, the secluded Steephill Cove is just a short walk from the property, and as it is only accessible by foot, is far quieter than the main esplanade and is home to the well-regarded Crab Shed seasonal restaurant.

Guests approach this property across the shared courtyard, before entering the cottage directly into the open plan living space. Consisting of a lounge/diner, this elegant space has been thoughtfully finished with well-chosen furnishings, and featuring a large bay window, a large feature fireplace, and an inviting Chesterfield sofa, as well as a TV/DVD with the basic Sky package. There is a separate galley kitchen which is perfectly in keeping with the style of the cottage, where guests will find an electric oven and gas hob, microwave and fridge with ice compartment. For those who wish to do laundry whilst away, there is a laundry service available by arrangement. Towards the rear of the room, one step leads up to the bedroom and bathroom and moving through to the bedroom, guests will find a delightful sanctuary-like space which has been finished in a chic style, with exposed floorboards, wooden beams, a double bed, and patio doors which lead out onto a courtyard seating area. The bathroom, meanwhile, offers a free-standing bath with a hand-held shower over the bath and WC. There is also access to the courtyard garden through the bathroom.

Outside, the property benefits from a south-facing courtyard garden for which there is garden furniture provided. There is off-road parking provided for one car, just to the front of the property.

Beautiful little cottage, complete with original floor boards and original beams! It's just the right size for a couple, bed is super soft, sofa is lovely. There's no shower but roll top bath is a treat. Great location in Ventnor.

Overall this a very nice cottage. It is very close to Ventnor town centre and we enjoyed the walk passing Ventnor Park. Just down the other way within walking distance is Ventnor Gardens which are lovely. The owners of this property seem very nice and leave you alone and do not hover. They are a bit hard to get hold of by phone however. I suspect tRead morehey use a landline and not a cell phone. Hide

My partner and I booked this property for a quiet Christmas getaway. We loved the look of the place from the photos and it certainly didn't disappoint. The property was really comfortable, especially the bed. The owners were really good too. Heating put on before our arrival was much appreciated as weather was a bit chilly even though it was mid April. The cottage was very quaint with lots of character. The little outdoor area was very sheltered, a little sun trap! Lovely location.

A well appointed cottage in a great position. The Christmas tree and decorations were a nice touch as were the crackers, wine, chocolates and crackers. The bed was very comfortable and the whole place cosy and warm. An ideal place to stay any time of the year.
