Attractive link-detached cottage offering a high-standard of accommodation for five guests, situated in a quiet location in the Dorset countryside, and yet just a short drive from Swanage.

This property enjoys a pleasant location in a tranquil Dorset hamlet, on the Isle of Purbeck peninsula. There are relaxing country walks to be enjoyed in the area immediately surrounding the property, in addition to which there are miles of stunning coastal walks to be enjoyed along the region’s famous Jurassic Coast, including to Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove, which lie within twelve miles to the west of the cottage. A fifteen-minute drive to the east, meanwhile, brings visitors to Studland Bay, a beautiful area of beaches and heathland which are overseen by the National Trust. For a more traditional seaside experience, head into nearby Swanage, where the wide sandy beaches is backed by cafes and amusements, and where visitors are able to hire deckchairs and beach huts as well as canoes and pedaloes.

There is a lovely combination of Purbeck stone and oak flooring downstairs with fitted carpets upstairs. The open-plan kitchen is equipped with bespoke oak units with granite work tops, a Belfast style sink, electric cooker and hob, an AGA (winter time use only from early November to end of March) microwave, fridge freezer, slimline dishwasher and combined washing machine/dryer. There is a very pleasant dining area with a pretty window seat overlooking the garden and a flat screen television; a separate very spacious and delightful sitting room with comfortable sofas and chairs, a large wall mounted flat screen television and Blu-ray DVD player, two large stone fireplaces with wood burning stoves and two delightful bay windows with window seats overlooking the garden. Stairs lead up to three charming bedrooms, an attractive single room, a pretty double room and a lovely bedroom with a super king size bed which can be separated to make twin beds. There is also a stylish bathroom with a freestanding bath, walk in shower and basin plus a separate WC. Under-floor heating on the ground floor. Enclosed porch for wet boots and coats. Wi-Fi internet is provided without extra charge and is generally of a good speed but it is a rural location and can be intermittent on occasions.

At the rear of the cottage there is a large paved terrace with garden furniture, a stone barbecue and extensive lawns with shrubberies. It is a wonderful place to relax with the most beautiful views. There is a pond and water features in the garden so children do need to be closely supervised at all times. Two cars can be parked in the drive and an additional car can parked immediately outside of the cottage.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Chapel cottage is a joy to stay in ,lovely kitchen and a really good oven if you want to cook.As the weather was wet and windy when we stayed so it was lovely to be able to light the wood burner when we got back .It is a lovely spacious cottage there was only two of us but with more people you would not feel overcrowded,the bed I slept in was lovelRead morey and comfortable all in all I was extremely pleased that we chose Chapel cottage for our week away. The holiday cottage was finished to a very high standard and equipped with everything one could need. It has a beautiful garden with stunning views. However the description of the property did not make it clear that it was right by the side of a fairly busy road.

The cottage was very comfortable with splendid views of the Purbeck Hills from the rear of the property. The Aga was an added bonus as it kept the kitchen warm all day. The two log burners, in the sitting room, were a great asset on some cold March evenings. Although the cottage is fairly near a pub, it is not walkable on dark evenings due to being on a busy twisting road with no pavements. I believe there maybe a bridle way through fields, but apparently not advisable on dark evenings also. Dont let that stop you though the cottage is gorgeous.

Prosecco on the terrace watching the stunning sunset on out last night here. A sparrowhawk calls as it comes home to roost and Corfe Castle peeks at us in the distance. A beautiful and romantic location and lovely cottage with everything you could need. This is a beautiful cottage, well located and very comfortable indeed. We slept like logs! The garden was absolutely beautiful and well maintained with views down to Corfe Castle, magical in the evening! We would certainly book this property again. Our spaniel loved the Buddha in the garden.

Having grown up in Kingston I had longed to show my friends the idyllic Isle of Purbeck that I know and love. Chapel Cottage was like coming home and the stunning view and delightful cottage certainly sold the area to my friends.
