This delightful cottage lies less than a mile from the picturesque village of Godshill, with its pretty thatched cottages, restaurants and tea shops. The popular market town of Newport, with its wide variety of shops and its medieval castle is a short drive away, and the glorious sandy beaches of the delightful seaside resorts of Sandown, Shanklin and Ventnor are only a little further afield. The cottage is located near the centre of the Isle of Wight making it ideal for accessing most parts of the island, and there are many fantastic walks and cycle routes to enjoy. Nearby places to visit include Ventnor Botanic Garden and Osborne House – the island home of Queen Victoria.

This beautiful and comfortable cottage, formerly a farm building, is built from Island stone and is thought to date back to the 1700s, and adjoins another property. On entering this lovely single-level cottage, you will find yourself in the pretty and welcoming lounge/diner, which is a delightful space to unwind in, complete with plenty of comfy seating and Smart TV. You will also find a charming dining area. Heading into the stylishly designed kitchen you will find it fully equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave and a fridge with an ice compartment. Exploring further you will find two cosy bedrooms. There’s one double room and a single room. You will also find a bathroom complete with a walk-in shower and a WC. A washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer are housed in a nearby utility room, use of which is shared with visitors in the adjoining cottage.

Stepping outside you will find a charming, small walled garden, with patio at the rear of the cottage, and there’s also an attractive fenced garden at the front with a small lawn, shrubs and bird table. Red squirrels and a variety of birds are frequent visitors,Garden furniture is provided so you can enjoy meals al fresco. Parking is available for two cars beside the cottage, also nearby you have a riding school which is within one mile of the property

We would recommend this cottage whole heartedly. A brilliant quiet place to stay, which is of a high standard and very comfortable. Our dogs were very happy and safe staying here, too.

A lovely homely cottage. A very well equipped kitchen with everything you would need. And the bed was so comfy. The enclosed garden was perfect for our dog to wander safely. Great location on the outskirts of the quaint village of Godshill. Highly recommend staying at this cottage.

Super cottage -comfortable, well appointed with great decor and everything you need and more. Great location. Lovely courtyard, but sadly the wet weather prevented us using. Downsides -main bedroom is fine but not much space and no space for luggage unless put in wardrobe. Modern kitchen is good though small, no dishwasher and little worktop space Read morefor food prep (so eat out, youre on holiday!). This was a lovely cosy cottage, beautifully furnished. Ideal location with beautiful views to the front and a safe enclosed courtyard at the back. There was a bridle path to take our dog first thing in the morning and the cottage was ideally situated to visit all over the island. Lovely experience with a very friendly owner.

Cottage is clean and comfortable. Internet connection is poor. Refrigerator is too small. Good parking facility and good size rear courtyard. The cottage really needs better sound proof double or triple glazing because of noisy gravel driveway being used by frequent visitors to industrial premises on the site very close by. Lovely clean cottage and great for dogs. Location ideal as a base to explore the Island. Definitely recommend Chequers Inn for food which is very close to the cottage. Owners were helpful and responsive if we needed help with anything.

Whilst cottage very clean and tidy we had issues with the kitchen being so small but main issue was the shower head facing permanently outwards with water pressure so strong it frequently flooded the floor and toilet.

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely little cottage. With it being all on one level, it was perfect for our little adventurous 2 year old to safely run about. Thank you so much. It was perfect. We were neighbours with the rest of our family in the cottage next door and it worked very well. The cottages were very comfortable and well equipped. This was our second visit to Milk Parlour Cottage and we have already booked another for next Spring! Comfortable, clean and well appointed, it meets all our needs. And with two great pubs about five minutes drive away ( one can be reached on foot in lighter evenings) who could ask for more?

This is a well situated inland cottage, an easy car journey to coastal walks and beaches. Easy access to inland walks too. A good pub/restaurant 15 mins walk, 5 mins drive away. Clean and very comfortable, it had everything I required for my short stay.
