This lovingly renovated former Victorian stable block boasts stylish and bright open-plan accommodation for memorable family holidays by the sea.

Situated in a quiet residential street on the south west side of the Isle of Wight, this property is close to Freshwater Bay and Tennyson Down. Set out on foot to follow the coastal path westwards to The Needles or eastwards to Blackgang Chine and St Catherine’s Lighthouse, both routes offering spectacular scenery. Situated within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the local area boasts a variety of small coves, perfect for swimming, surfing paddling and boating as well as a two-mile stretch of sandy beach at Compton Bay. The local tearoom, general store and restaurants are also just a five-minute walk away, ideal for rounding off a long walk with a hearty meal. For the golfers in the group Freshwater Bay Golf Course is a nearby links course with spectacular coastal views. Only slightly further afield, a short drive will bring you to the tiny town of Freshwater, which is home to supermarkets, a sports centre and swimming pool plus a variety of shops, inns and restaurants.

From the dining area, patio doors open onto a tiled enclosed courtyard garden to the front of the property, which is furnished with a table and chairs for enjoying al fresco meals. There is unallocated onstreet parking, an additional off road space is available inside the gated courtyard to park one small car.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Loved the upstairs with the sitting room space. Warm & comfortable, fairly close to the Beach and local Cafes. Would return to see the Island without storm Dave.

Beautiful cottage with plenty of space and good kitchen facilities for a Christmas holiday. Local cafes, shops, pub and the spectacular Freshwater Bay all within walking distance. We would definitely stay here again.

Lovely location and very quiet. If going late in the year take a torch, there are no street lights. Because of ferry and road problems we arrived in the dark, nightmare!

The cottage is lovely, in a nice quiet part of Freshwater. Just a short walk to the small but lovely beach down the road. A little overpriced compared to similar sized and similar located cottages but we had a lovely time here.

Neat clean and tidy, Sunny court yard, Nice restaurant / coffee bar about metres away near to a grocery shop with great cheese counter. Beach 200 metres away.

Excellent location in the quieter corner of IOW. Colwell Bay and Totland have good nearby beaches. Great walking on the Downs. Plenty of space and a lovely courtyard to sit out. Enjoyed the upstairs sitting room but can be a bit too warm for sleeping.
