Lovely detached bungalow situated in a secluded area with large outdoor space and sea views from the garden and kitchen. Area renowned for its gorgeous countryside, pretty villages and small sandy bays.

Located on a quiet lane, this bungalow is close to the sandy bays of Colwell and Totland. Totland itself is a small seaside village, and neighbouring Colwell Bay is where you’ll find wonderful views of the mainland and the historic coastal defences. Much of the nearby coastal area is owned by the National Trust making it a wonderful walking area. In the centre of the nearby town of Freshwater there are a variety of shops, including a small supermarket, public houses and a sports centre with indoor swimming pool.

Entering the bungalow there is a lovely kitchen with an electric oven and gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, walk-in pantry and a pleasant dining area. A washing machine and tumble dryer are provided in a small utility area. The living area, with comfortable seating and TV/DVD, is a particularly light room with large window and patio doors opening out onto a secluded courtyard section of the extensive garden. A small conservatory room adjoins the living area with its own set of patio doors opening on to the courtyard. A wonderful place to sit, relax, read or daydream at any time of year. There are three bedrooms: the first is a double bedroom with king-size bed, the second is a slightly smaller double bedroom, and the third is a bunk bedroom. There is a bathroom with shower over the bath and a WC. There is a second separate WC.

Outside, a wonderfully large garden is made up of a lawn surrounded by pretty shrubs. It is surrounded by walls and hedging but is not securely enclosed. Garden furniture is provided to enjoy the delights of al fresco dining. Off-road parking for at least two cars is available in the drive.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

This is a lovely spacious cottage perfect for a family. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The extra touches of mince pies, mulled wine and selection boxes were very thoughtful. We will definitely be returning.

Lovely well equipped bungalow which is clean & comfortable, if a little dated. The garden is big, however it is not enclosed as there are holes in fences to let the foxes and badgers in. This made it difficult with our dogs who were unable to use the garden unless they were on a lead. We had to buy fencing to temporarily secure the courtyard area sRead moreo that our dogs had a safe area to use. This property is a wonderfully spacious and airy bungalow, clearly of the 1930s, but updated to include all the contemporary conveniences a modern holidaymaker could want (large TV in the sitting room, WiFi, etc.) The garden is enormous and deliberately insecure at points to allow foxes and badgers to come and go. A very clean, well prepared, spacious bungalow - offering peace and quiet. Great parking and a feeling of security once behind it's private gates. On the basis that IOW is a place where you travel so see what the island has to offer, it provides a super base from which to explore. Recommended.
