The cottage is exactly as described, hosts are friendly and helpful and very generous. The garden is large and private and everything has been thought of indoors. There is even a heated airer to dry towels! The village is in our opinion one of the best on the island with fantastic village shop, wonderful little museum, easy access to the coast pathRead more and other paths for walkers; pub has mixed reviews but we found it to be good standard pub fare at a reasonable price, but lacking in atmosphere. Perfect for a single visitor or couple to West Wight. Excellent welcome gifts to help settle in quickly. Warm and cosy when the weather is less than perfect. So close to shops and walks and beach that a car is only required to visit further afield across the island.

A lovely cottage and lovely hosts. Well thought out welcome pack. Lovely private garden with table, chairs and loungers. Due to height in the bathroom there's no full shower, so be prepared to take a bath. Or as we did, take a kneeling / sitting shower using the combination taps / mixer shower head if you're able. Your description was perfectly adequate; I think its the personal, caring touches by the owners that made this cottage 'out of the ordinary'. Brighstone though; an odd little(well, not so little) village on an island dependant on tourism; no cafe, + a very poor pub; I'm sure theres a market for these 'essentials' to holidaymakers+locals alike.
