Located in a gorgeous rural area, this property is just a short walk from the sandy beach of Whitecliff Bay - one of the best beaches on the island. Set out on foot or bicycle from the property and make your way up to Culver Down, a stunning spot offering panoramic coastal views across Sandown Bay, where there’s a small pub and ice cream parlour for those seeking refreshment. From here, the coastal path can be followed south to Sandown and Shanklin or north to Bembridge. The attractive coastal village of Bembridge is home to a good pub, a range of restaurants, boutique style shops and a pretty harbour.

Inside, great care has been taken to both preserve this building’s original charm and inject plenty of contemporary comforts. Most of your time will be spent in the fantastic open-plan living space, which stretches the full length of this impressive property and features exposed stone walls, beams and ceiling trusses. At one end is a cosy lounge area with ample soft seating for all guests, a cosy rug, an open fire and TV/DVD. (Logs are not supplied) In the centre of this room is a large farmhouse table for enjoying group meals together. At the far end is a fantastic games area with pool table for those with a competitive streak. Glazed doors open from this room into a light and airy kitchen. Here you will find a range oven with gas hob and electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer. There are three charming bedrooms on the ground floor, each of which open onto the terrace via French doors. The king-size and double bedrooms benefit from en-suite shower rooms and TVs, while the small single sits adjacent to a family bathroom with shower over the bath and a WC. A further delightful double bedroom with additional single bed can be accessed via a quirky spiral staircase from the lounge area and boasts fantastic rural views.

Outside, a sunny patio area with garden furniture and BBQ opens onto a large enclosed lawn. This is a fantastic, safe space for enjoying summer BBQs and garden games with family and four-legged friends. Three or four cars can be parked in the drive.

Lovely Barn conversion tucked away a stone's throw from Bembridge Airport. Great facilities and with underfloor heating, great when you come in from a long dog walk. We really enjoyed our stay despite the wet weather.

A comfortable house, very warm. We enjoyed our week there. For dog walkers there was only the one walk straight from the house turning right and staying on the grass until you get to the lane. The road is fast so not that safe to walk. We did all our walking away from the house, taking the car. Large garden partially fenced with hedge alongside theRead more road. Hide

Really enjoyed the spacious communal area in this lovely barn cottage. Comfortable beds, plenty of toilet/washing facilities and a very well-equipped kitchen. Great base to explore the island. Location some distance from Bembridge centre so definitely need own transport though there is a nearby bus stop. Would definitely use again and recommend to Read moreothers. Hide

Lovely converted barn. Very warm and cosy. Ideal for a family. Our sons enjoyed playing pool. Drawers full of games to keep the youngsters entertained. Pub within a few mins walk but on a fast road. Sadly no supermarket nearby just a small Co-op a short drive away. So stock up beforehand. The walk to the beach is very steep and down a narrow track.Read more No parking so elderly or less able walkers won't be able to visit it. Not for the faint hearted. Hide

A beautiful barn which was so well equipped, it was as if we were at home. Great supply of games on top of pool and bar billiards which was fun as the weather let us down over new year. Easy walks from the doorstep for dogs.
