Beautifully presented period cottage, offering stylish accommodation for eight guests, enjoying a peaceful location on the outskirts of the Dorset village of Langton Matravers.

This property enjoys a rural location just on the edge of the hilltop village of Langton Matravers, with its village pub and handy shop. There is even a fun children’s farm park in the village, which is always a hit with families and offers playground facilities and indoor soft play, along side a range of farm animals and pets. Two miles to the east of the village, the town of Swanage offers a wide sandy beach, and traditional seaside entertainment, whilst just a few miles further around the coast, guests will find four miles of National Trust maintained beaches at Studland Bay. The area around the cottage is ideal for enjoying leisurely country walks with a footpath that leads you directly to the Coastal Path, as is the famous Jurassic coastline where visitors may be luckily enough to find their own fossils to take home.

At the heart of this attractive cottage, the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is a fantastic space which allows guests to easily enjoy spending time together, whether they be cooking, dining, or simply relaxing. At one end of the room inviting sofas next to the cosy wood burner allow guests to chat and relax over drinks. The kitchen area, meanwhile, is equipped with breakfast bar seating, as well as an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, wine cooler, and dishwasher, whilst the washing machine can be found in a separate utility room where there is also a ground-floor WC. A separate dining room is an excellent place to linger over meals in the evenings, and there is also another lounge, this time an elegantly finished room with seating, a TV/DVD, a wood burner, and a snooker table. One of the property’s bedrooms, a double room with an en-suite shower and WC can also be found on the ground floor, while the remaining three bedrooms are located upstairs on the first floor, all of which benefit from en-suite facilities. The first of these is a double room which has its own TV and en-suite shower and WC, whilst the second room, a twin also has an en-suite shower room with a shower and WC. The master bedroom, a king-size room, is accessed via its own separate staircase from the ground floor and boasts its own TV, views across to Swanage, and an en-suite bathroom with shower-over-bath and WC.

Outside, the cottage has a spacious garden which consists of a paved courtyard seating area for which garden furniture is provided, as well as a secluded lawn which is a great place for children to play. Off-road parking at the front of the property has space for four cars.

 

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

The Coach House was booked for a re-union of 4 couples who used to meet at hotels for Bargain Breaks, then in houses as children arrived & the meetings ended. Offspring now flown. The property was great for us, good accommodation, well fitted & kitted & in a lovely part of the country with lots to do & explore.

Excellent standard of accommodation in terms of space, privacy, comfort and style and good taste. The house was very well equipped and the owners were friendly and helpful. The location was convenient for countryside and coast. Ample parking.

The Coach House Leeson , is a very large cottage with four great sized bedrooms all with their own bathrooms. The kitchen is well equipped, and a great social area with a table and four chairs two stools at the breakfast bar, and two sofas so everyone gathered while meals were prepared. This was our second visit to this cottage. The cottage is extremely comfortable and well-presented: the owners really want visitors to have a good time there! The location is ideal - its close to Swanage, Corfe Castle, Studland, Lulworth Cove and other areas too. We had a fabulous holiday.

Great accommodation in ideal location for short trip to Swanage and easy access to other parts of Dorset. Scenery around the location-stunning-would recommend anyone thinking of holidaying in this part of Dorset to seriously consider property. Local wildlife very evident including deer, parquets and badgers not to forget the array of wild birds on Read morethe feeders. If we return to this part of Dorset only one place to stay. Hide

This is a wonderful house - comfortable, stylishly furnished and thoughtfully equipped. It has a lovely walled garden for children to run around in or for adults to relax in. The view over rolling fields to the sea is stunning. All three generations of our family had such an enjoyable week here.

The property was spotlessly clean when we arrived and the owners friendly and helpful. They left milk, tea, and a beautiful cake to welcome us, which was greatly appreciated.
