Wonderful walks can be enjoyed through the large, open National Trust area, which commands some of the loveliest views on the island. Also stop by Osborne House and the yachting town of Cowes east and west with their long promenades and the expansive Parkhurst Forest, a haven for red squirrels.
Dating back more than three hundred years, this Grade II-listed thatched cottage still retains many original features from exposed beams to original fireplaces. This is a self-contained property comprising the larger part of a detached stone cottage. (The owners use the smaller adjoining part of The Poplars as a retreat and when visiting they have access through the garden to the shed and top gate). The kitchen/diner includes an electric oven, microwave, fridge, freezer and washing machine and a door opening onto the garden.
