Spacious period cottage sleeping nine guests, situated just outside the attractive harbour town of Yarmouth with its restaurants, pubs, and shops and a two-minute drive from the sandy beach at Totland.

This property is conveniently located a twenty-minute walk from the coastal town of Yarmouth, with its bustling harbour and waterfront castle and also on the A3054 which connects the Northern parts of the Isle of Wight. The ferry from Lymington in the New Forest arrives into Yarmouth, making it easy for guests to arrive by car or on foot, whilst the town’s harbour also offers a number of fun pleasure boat rides which take visitors around the island’s west coast to The Needles. The town also offers a number of excellent restaurants, coffee shops, and independent shops which are mainly based around the town’s market square, as well as being home to the English Heritage-owned waterfront castle.

On arrival at this detached cottage, guests are able to unwind and make themselves at home after their journey in the spacious lounge with its comfortable sofas, TV/DVD, and patio doors which lead out to the garden. A second lounge offers an additional space for guests to relax and simply enjoy spending time together, this one with a decorative inglenook fireplace, another TV/DVD, and a pretty window seat. Moving through to the kitchen/diner, guests will find a pleasant space in which to enjoy meals. Next to which the kitchen area is equipped with a Range oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, and dishwasher along with a glass floor area through which the original well, from which the cottage takes its name can be seen. For those who wish to do laundry, meanwhile, there is a separate utility room where the washing machine, tumble dryer, and an additional fridge/freezer are housed. A cloakroom with WC can also be found on the ground floor of the property, as can a charming single bedroom. The remaining four bedrooms are situated upstairs on the first floor of the property. One of these is a king-size room offering an en-suite shower room with shower and WC, whilst a double room also has an en-suite shower and WC. The third bedroom is another double room, whilst there is also a restful twin room, as well as a bathroom which offers a bath with handheld shower and WC. An additional fold out bed can be provided on request for children up to 5 years old.

Outside, to the rear of the property, there is an enclosed courtyard-style garden which is furnished with a table and chairs, making it ideal for enjoying al fresco meals. There is driveway parking available for up to four cars.

A charming cottage which is deceptively large inside. Very comfortable throughout with a lovely large Lounge and well equipped kitchen. Good parking and very well placed for all the attractions of West Wight. The only downside is the proximity onto the busy main road, so as others have mentioned, you would need to be careful if you have very toddleRead morers. There are gates on the drive which we closed when the children were in the garden, so it wasn't a problem for slightly older ones. Hide

Lovely homely Cottage, very well equipped, every possible need was catered for. Very welcoming supplies were provided and much appreciated. A pleasant small patio garden, but nowhere for children to run about. Close to Yarmouth, which is a very pleasant little town, and the Ferry.

We had a lovely stay at Well Cottage - it has everything you need to cook and being able to wash and dry clothes was very handy after a day on the beach. Location was good for exploring the Island especially nearby Compton Bay. The cottage is however situated right on a fairly busy road so I would not recommend staying here with small children or lRead moreight sleepers unless the owners fit double glazing! Hide
