This property is situated in the quiet Dorset village of Langton Matravers, within a five-minute walk of the village pub and convenience store. The area surrounding the village is a great spot for keen walkers, as there are simply miles of footpaths crisscrossing the countryside, leading south to the coast and north to the village of Corfe Castle with its impressive ruined castle, tearooms, and gift shops. To the east of the village, meanwhile, the seaside town of Swanage offers a bustling seafront with a pier and sandy beach, whilst slightly further away, a twelve-minute drive from the cottage, the National Trust beach at Studland Bay is an idyllic unspoilt stretch of sand backed by heathland.

Arriving at this cottage, guests will find that the cosy lounge with its stone fireplace, wood burner, and TV/DVD is a lovely place to relax on the comfortable sofa and chairs. From here an opening leads through to the light-filled kitchen which offers contemporary-style units housing an oven, hob, fridge, and dishwasher, whilst the microwave, freezer, and washing machine are kept in the separate utility room. A single bedroom can also be found on the ground floor along with a wet room with shower and WC, whilst the remaining bedrooms can be found upstairs. The first of these is an attractive double room which boasts far-reaching sea views. There is also a shower room with shower and WC on this floor, beyond which a second set of stairs leads up to a delightful twin bedroom which is located in the converted attic, and therefore has some reduced head-height.

Outside, the property benefits from a modestly-sized garden which is located opposite the cottage and for which a table and chairs are provided. There is private parking for one car.

A lovely cottage in a lovely area, Sue is a really nice host with helpful suggestions for the area! The village is so pretty and quiet. The local bus is easy to access from different parts of the village. The pub is great for food and drinks. We had an enjoyable stay!

Well equipped and located cottage just a few minutes drive from Swanage and close to many good walking routes and the various other attractions of the Isle of Purbeck. Local pub with a garden just a few minutes walk away serving good quality home prepared food and a decent range of beers and other drinks.

A beautiful traditional Purbeck cottage in an ideal location. Loads of walks start from the village, easy walks to plenty of local pubs and not far from Swanage too.

Willow Cottage has everything you could want, comfy bed and well equipped kitchen, excellent open fire (which we used at our stay last year, but wasnt cold enough this time around). Sue popped round to make sure we'd settled in ok. There are plenty of public footpaths in the village, and stunning coastal scenery a short walk away. Warm and cosy. Very well equipped kitchen. Efficient central heating. Friendly owner lives nearby and was readily available to make our stay extra special. Steep staircase that might be a challenge for someone with limited mobility. The top floor twin room has a large landing just outside the door which was perfect for my 10month old granddaughter.Read mores cot. Combi boiler provides hot water on demand. Wood burning stove was very enjoyable. Great location. Will plan to stay again next year. Hide

Willow Cottage is a hidden gem! Plenty of room for a family of five, although there were only two of us! It had everything we could possibly need during the week. Cosy and well equipped ... but the stairs are narrow and fairly steep, so visitors of reduced mobility might find them a problem.

Would definatly reccomend Willow Cottage. It's a great little cosy cottage and it's supperbly placed with access to lots of walks along the South West coast path and numerous other footpaths and bridleways (such as Priest's Way to Swanage and Worth Matravers). The owners live next door and are friendly and helpful. When the kettle stopped working iRead moret was immediatly replaced with a new one! Lovely light kitchen with everything you need. Comfortable sitting room with great log burner. Excellent. Hide

Sue was a very friendly & nice owner. The location was fantastic, very quiet & still had quick & easy access to plenty of sites. 5mins drive to shops & the ocean front in Swanage. The cottage is hidden away from the main street with a parking spot just in front of the house. Nice, little features & touches.
