Bamburgh View has exactly that both from the house itself and from the viewing platform above the quarry. Particularly splendid at sunset. The house was very clean, well equipped, very warm And homely. We had a really wonderful time relaxing there after long walks along many if the beautiful beaches there.

We had such a fabulous stay at Bamburgh View, the lodge was super comfy and well equipped, the perfect spot for R&R. There was also space for our toddler to play safely right outside. The location was also superb, near enough to Bamburgh to walk through the fields but away from the bustle. It is about 2ish miles out from Bamburgh and involves either a short 5 minute drive or a longer walk on a road with no pavement which is ok in daylight. This modern holiday home is well equipped and has stunning views across fields to Bamburgh Castle. It is at the back of an old quarry and so sheltered from most winds whilst getting a lot of sunshine. The walk up to the top of the quarry face is easy and there is a fabulous safe viewing area. High quality furnishings and ideal for 2 couples, 6 would be more of a squeeze as only one room is en suite and the other bathroom would then be shared. Nice quiet location and very good spec furniture and fittings, big tv (the tennis was on when we visited) and only downside is its not walking distance to any shops or restaurants. The cottage was delightful, comfortable and well equipped and the living accommodation was spacious. Its a pity the two main bedrooms arent quite large enough to accommodate wardrobes but this was not a major issue. More of an issue was the style of the beds with posts at the bottom corners at just the right level to do damage to your shins!
