Relax and take some time out at this stylish holiday home, set up for discerning couples looking to get away from it all. Beach lovers will enjoy Saunton, Croyde, Woolacombe and Westward Ho!, all are just a short drive. Take advantage of superb walking on Exmoor National Park, the South West Coast Path and the Tarka Trail close by. The nearby town of Barnstaple offers a weekly Pannier Market, and many high street brands. The little white town of Bideford is also worth a visit - hop on the Oldenburg and enjoy a boat trip to Lundy Island. Other attractions accessible from here include The Big Sheep and The Milky Way adventure parks, Tapeley Park, Arlington Court and Dartington Crystal.

Stepping into this elegant, single-storey property you cannot help but be bowled over by the attention to detail and design, as well as the ingenious use of space. A hand-built, bespoke open-plan oak kitchen with electric oven and hob, vintage-style Smeg fridge/freezer, and dishwasher make for a stylish space. The lounge and dining area with its Harris tweed sofa and repurposed workbench dining table are made for relaxing and romantic evenings, where you can open the bi-fold doors and enjoy the undisturbed countryside leading out beyond the decking. Completing the accommodation is the bedroom area with impressive king-size bed and stylish en-suite bathroom with shower over the freestanding copper bath, vintage reclaimed sink and WC.

Heading outside, the enclosed and private decking area has beautiful garden furniture, including deck chairs to allow al fresco dining and a private cedar hot tub. The little details such as the vintage hooks to keep a towel or dressing gown next to the hot tub, and the handcrafted pieces throughout the property makes for a truly beautiful and bespoke stay in the countryside.

Private off-road parking is available on the driveway for one car and additional roadside parking can be found outside.

Just amazing place to relax and unwind. Beautiful location and quiet. Also very close to explore the local area. Owners very welcoming. Loved the walks and being able relax in the hot tub was just perfect.

We have just come back from a week in Bydown Lodge and highly recommend a stay here. The lodge is beautifully done out with everything you need and fantastic views. Its really peaceful with lots of places nearby to visit. We loved it!

Absolutely beautiful little place. The wooden beams and decor inside were amazing. A real natural, warming atmosphere the moment you step inside. The glass doors that could open in different ways and accross the whole living/ kitchen area were impressive and gave a real open view to the fields with natural light flooding the place beautifully. We have both had a fabulous stay at Byron Lodge. The surroundings were beautiful, you are literally staying in the Trees with spectacular views across the hillside. We would thoroughly recommend this lodge. It is beautiful with lots of wildlife owls and the like. And views to die for. The lodge itself was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Beautiful property, and lovely views , very clean and great hot tub But the road up to the property is not for the light hearted! Single car road , up a very steep hill , We had a couple of moments , meeting on coming traffic! ( but Im not good with heights!though! )

Our first time to Devon and not the last! The lodge was beautiful, everything that we needed was there, from high end appliances to amazing views. Relaxing in the hot tub topped off a great day sightseeing. Even the rain didn't stop us. From instow beach- ice cream from van on beach, ask for clotted cream on top Illfracombe, Lynton, Lynmouth and CRead morelovelly, which is the most beautiful village iv ever seen. A must see. We had a wonderful week at Bydown lodge with our doggo and little one. Location was perfect and we visited so many beautiful places. The lodge itself is gorgeous and has everything you need. Absolutely lovely week spent at Bydown Lodge. Beautifully presented lodge with no expense spared on comfort. Gorgeous location with some lovely walks in the local area. (Although very Hilly) Nick and Jen are both lovely and always around if you need anything. Cant wait to return soon. Just a little tip. There is no storage for clothes in the bedrooRead morem area. A fabulous place to stay, very well presented throughout. All you need for a relaxing stay, close to some lovely beaches and places to visit. We have a dog, the lodge was very secure and he loved the big fields nearby for a early walk. Local pub within walking distance and very nice. A very peaceful and secluded break. We slept amazingly well and made full use of the hot tub, even in the rain. Lots of character with the wooden architecture, and high quality fittings. The access is exclusive to guests so it is very easy to come and go as you please.

What a fantastic base to explore beautiful North Devon from. We couldn't have asked for more and were made to feel so welcome and the hosts were extremely accommodating! We got some great recommendations for places we hadn't tried before including the local neighbour who does incredible Wood fired Pizzas. Me and my partner loved our stay in this stunning lodge, perfect location, lovely public footpath behind the lodge which leads out onto the hills of Devon.
