Set in the centre of the ancient fishing village of Polruan, this delightful two-bedroom cottage is just a few paces from the quay

Polruan is a lovely village with its tidal beach, shops, pubs and restaurants and passenger ferry to the town of Fowey, just a short walk away. A range of activities can be enjoyed on the river or you can explore the coastline and many walks from the village. The nearby town of Fowey can be reached by the passenger ferry and it is a delight to wander around the shops, delicatessens, restaurants and cafes. Other attractions in the area include the world-famous Eden Project, the historic port of Charlestown and the Lost Gardens of Heligan.

Entering the property from the rear you are welcomed by a useful boot room and utility area. Leading through to the open-plan kitchen/diner which is equipped with   electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge and dishwasher. The large dining table has plenty of room to seat the whole family. There is also a separate WC off the kitchen. A glazed door leads you to the lounge where you can relax after a busy day exploring and watch a movie on the TV/DVD. Heading upstairs to the first floor you will find two bedrooms, a spacious king with river views and a cosy twin over looking the courtyard. Also on this level is a spacious bathroom with shower over bath and WC.

To the rear of the property there is a small, shared courtyard. There is no parking at the property, however, parking is available at the nearby car parks where charges apply.

  • There are many small winding streets in and around Polruan that are not suitable for cars, therefore many properties in Polruan do not have private parking. However there is a large pay and display carpark at the top of the village.

Everything was very clean, the double bed was comfy and it had all the equipment we needed really! Id happily recommend the property to my friends and family :) Dont expect all bells and whistles, its quite simple but it its more than all you need for a comfortable stay. The ferry to Fowey was a delight but it does stack up in price if you go everyRead more day, but in our minds it was all part of the fun of the cottage. Two pubs, a bakers, shop and tea rooms all within a matter of a few footsteps! Hide

Lovely comfortable cottage with good sized kitchen diner and good sized double and twin bedrooms. Located in the village at the bottom of a very steep hill. Car parking at the top of the village and not for anyone with walking or mobility issues. Tiny outside space shared with other cottage, with only small bistro table and 2 chairs. Without ferry Read moreto Fowey the village would feel very claustrophobic. Roads into the village are single track for several miles with limited passing spaces. Hide
