The kitchen is well-equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher. Heading upstairs to the first floor, you can take time to unwind together in the second lounge area, where you can curl up and watch a film on the TV/DVD. Just next door is a charming double bedroom, with lovely garden views and a light and bright ambience.

Heading outside you will find a small terrace to the front of the cottage, which has garden furniture and views over the pretty cottage garden which is shared with the owners. Guests also have use of their own small private enclosed area of the garden next to the cottage with BBQ, outdoor seating and a cosy shed with sofa (available to use between Easter and the end of October) offering a peaceful outlook. Off-road parking for one car is available to the side of the cottage, with a further parking space on the village lane (subject to availability).

The cottage was attractive both inside and out, the setting within the garden of the owners was lovely. Because of Covid and shielding we took all our food with us, cooking every night. All manual equiptment I needed was there, including a microwave and a dishwasher. In the limited contact we had with the owners, they were very friendly and helpfulRead more. On one occasion when our dog got really muddy they were happy to let us use their hosepipe! We did several excellent walks. Hide

If you have dogs as long as you are happy to share the garden it's fine. Also if your dogs like to explore they can potentially get out of the garden.

Lovely cottage in Stoke Abbott. The owners were very helpful and welcoming, the patio/garden is beautiful and there is a pub next door that does delicious take-away. The cottage was clean and the owners had taken all the necessary precautions re COVID. There are several footpaths and country lanes for walks in the area.

Lovely cottage with the advantage of overlooking the owners' beautiful garden. We were very impressed with how they had adapted the cottage in light of Covid - hand sanitiser on entry, PPE pack, everything cleaned to a high order. A great place to explore this part of Dorset.

The cottage is situated in a lovely quiet village, although access is interesting, down narrow lanes. The setting is idyllic in a beautiful country garden, and the patio area for guests is a lovely touch. The cottage is very well equipped with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. The vase of flowers from the garden provides a great welcome.

We really enjoyed our stay in Stoke Abbot, the location was lovely, very peaceful and the, garden and, views, were beautiful. The outside space was a bonus as, even though it was March the weather was good and, we could sit outside with our coffee and, admire the countryside around us including the pheasants and sheep. The owners left us a cake, miRead morelk and, eggs all of which were appreciated. We enjoyed the, atmosphere in the local pub which is, just a few yards along from the cottage. Hide

Lovely location with access to the owners garden, ideal for relaxing when the weather permits. Local pub (approx. 50 Yards away) serves good quality food and occasional themed nights ie Curry and Pie and a pint night. A car is definitely required and the ability to deal with the very narrow road.
