One of two super shepherds’ huts sitting in the rolling countryside of the Wye Valley. Not far from the delightful town of Usk, which offers a host of independent shops, restaurants, pubs and antique shops. This wonderful area boasts a wide range of scenic landscapes and nature trails, plenty of opportunities to sample local produce and a trip to nearby Abergavenny is highly recommended. With many historic attractions, castles, museums and galleries to explore such as Tredegar House, Tintern Abbey and Chepstow Castle, everyone will have plenty to enjoy. Many activities such as kayaking, sailing, fishing, mountain biking and climbing are all within an easy drive and there are fabulous walks straight from your door.
Entering the beautiful open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner/sleeping space you are first struck by the light and airy feeling this property evokes, being of a bespoke design. The lounge area has a cosy wood burner and TV/DVD, DAB radio with Bluetooth, making this a warming retreat any time of the year. The kitchen has an electric oven and induction hob, fridge and Nespresso coffee machine. The bedroom area has a double bed from where you can enjoy the lovely rural views, with deer, geese, buzzards and red kites often seen. There is ample storage space built-in behind and below the bed. There is also a super, internal shower room with a power shower and WC, adding a little bit more refinement to your glamping break.
Outside there is an additional outdoor kitchen with a charcoal BBQ and bench seating for some al fresco dining, a hammock for lazy afternoons and a fire pit for enjoyable, social evenings looking up at the stars before heading back in to enjoy the cosy wood burner. Honesty shop selling locally sourced meets, snacks and other items. Bike storage is available for those wishing to enjoy the National Cycle Network that can be joined from the bottom of the hill. There is ample parking for two cars with a pathway to the property.
