Access directly into Dunster Deer Park and The Coleridge Way. The start of The South West Coast Path is just a short drive away in Minehead along with it's sandy beaches. National Trust property Holnicote Estate is 6 miles away for stunning walks to Horner Wood, Selworthy village and the all encompassing views from Dunkery Beacon. The beaches of Bossington and Blue Anchor are a hop along the coast road offering family fun and explorations, while the surf mecca's of Woolacombe, Putsborough, Croyde and Saunton are an hours drive west. Enter through the antique studded oak door into the wooden tiled hallway which leads to the lounge, dining room, kitchen and study. The lounge with Smart TV/DVD and wireless music system is the most wonderful relaxation space with an open fire for those cooler months to snuggle up and take in your favourite movies. The formal dining room adorned with quality furnishings is a must for that special occasion or family celebration with seating for ten with an open fire and French chandelier for added luxury. The pantry boasts a Range oven and gas hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge and freezer. From here step through to the traditional French styled kitchen/diner with a four oven Aga and a well loved dining table for twelve, perfect for that lazy breakfast and to plan your day. There is a door to the impressive but cosy family snug just off the kitchen/dining room with Smart TV/DVD and a wood burner effect gas fire. Accessed from the hall is the library, with an open fire, beautiful desk and a pair of arm chairs, great for a morning read or to catch up on some emails. Also, on the ground floor is the utility area with washing machine and tumble dryer that leads to a separate shower room with a WC. The central staircase will take you to the first floor, or a second staircase accessed from the kitchen will take you up to the second floor bedroom. The bedrooms are all uniquely and carefully styled and are adorned with soft linen to ensure that perfect night’s sleep. Bedroom one consists of a four-poster super-king-size bed with an en-suite bathroom with a roll top bath and WC. Bedroom two includes a carved French double bed and an en-suite bathroom with roll top bath and WC. Bedroom three has original antique twin zip-and-link beds (which can be made up as a super-king-size on request). Bedroom four is a king-size and has a beautiful arched chapel ceiling, this room is a former prayer room in the property’s past life as a small convent school. Also, on the first floor is the shower room with shower and WC. Bedroom five is located on the second floor, a huge, stunning bedroom enjoying commanding views over the village with a four-poster super-king-size bed and a vaulted ceiling, it's age old wooden beams authenticated to have come from the Armada ships of Elisabeth 1's historical victory.
Heading outside the varied gardens are enchanting and include a walled lawn garden that is perfect for relaxing on a summer afternoon. There is a large patio area with top of the range electric ignition charcoal barbeque and an oak garden table for twelve guests, with an outside sound system and evening lighting, all situated under a pergola with a mature grapevine for summer shade. A large luxury hot tub off the rear of the lawn in a private corner is a special retreat, while a gate at the far end of the lawn leads directly onto Dunster Deer Park and Castle Grounds. A further area of garden with a Mediterranean influence is found beyond a cobbled area with a boot room, where guests can store their bikes. This Mediterranean styled walled garden also provides luxurious curved outside sofa seating for ten guests with large summer parasol and champagne/wine chiller, and stunning views to Conygar Tower. Nearby there two games rooms that offer a pool table, table tennis and darts, and a fitness gym in a Moroccan style studio with a full width wall of mirrors.
There is off-road parking for two cars with additional private parking for another two cars at the front of the property, further parking is available in the village.
