Traditional cottage located in the coastal village of Weybourne, situated within walking distance of the village shop, pub, and beach and just a 15-minute drive from the popular seaside resort of Cromer.

This cottage is situated in the quiet village of Weybourne on the North Norfolk coast- a pleasant village with a convenient shop, welcoming pub, and delightful pebble beach which is popular with sea anglers and those who enjoy leisurely walks by the sea. Just 8-miles east of the village, the town of Cromer is the perfect seaside town for families and those who want to enjoy all the facilities of a traditional British resort. The town has two sandy beaches, as well as a pier with a theatre at the end which shows a programme of fun variety shows. There is an excellent range of independent cafes and restaurants to choose from, many of which serve the locally-caught crab for which the town is famous. Further afield, yet still within easy driving distance, there are many more seaside towns and villages to explore, where visitors can swim, paddle, sunbathe, and even take wildlife tours and boat trips.

The front door of this traditional cottage-style property opens directly into the hallway with stairs leading to the first floor, from the hallway a cosy lounge, a pleasant room with a wood burner-effect electric fire in the fireplace and a TV/DVD in the lounge which guests can enjoy from the two inviting sofas. Unusually for a cottage of this size, there are two separate dining spaces, one a formal dining room and the other a breakfast area in the kitchen. This sunny room is well-equipped with an AGA-style oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, and an iPod dock. A separate utility, meanwhile, houses the washing machine and tumble dryer as well as a Belfast sink. Also on the ground floor, there is a handy shower room with WC, which is great for washing off the sand after a day at the beach. Stairs from the hallway lead tothe first floor where there are three bedrooms. The first of these is a spacious king size room having plenty of built in wardrobe space, this room also  benefits from an en-suite shower room with double shower cubicle, wash hand basin and WC, three steps lead down to the second king-size room, which has zip-and-link bed allowing it to be made up as a twin room on request., this bedroom can be accessed through the first, or alternatively  via a separate set of steep stairs from the kitchen. There is a bathroom with shower over the bath, wash hand basin and WC.  The third bedroom has a double bed and plenty of space to store clothes, opposite the bedroom there is a further shower room with WC.

Outside, there is an enclosed garden to the front of the cottage which has a small lawn and a seating area, whilst to the rear of the property, there is a pleasant courtyard area with garden furniture and a BBQ for guests to use. There is on-street parking available on the street outside the property.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

The location of this property is perfect, lovely walk on the coastal path to shearing ham. The pub next doors serves excellent food. The property on the other hand is very average,and I wouldn't return, very tired throughout.

Excellent location for the coast and bus stop across the road for Sheringham. The property could do with a lick of paint in areas and the stairs from the kitchen to the third bedroom are very steep too, not ideal for young children. Parking can be an issue if you get back to property after about 4pm. However these are minor issues and I would definRead moreitely rebook to stay at this property again. Hide

This cottage is in a great location and is a great size for 6 people. It is an old cottage so everything is a little rough around the edges but its clean and has lots of character.

The property itself is well situated in the village. When we arrived we were not impressed with the cleanliness of the property. The first day we spent cleaning sweeping mopping and getting rid of cobwebs and leftover rubbish from the previous occupiers. To do this we had to buyer our own cleaning products. Abbey Cottage was well equipped for a family and within an easy walk from the beach. Good to be close to the shop and pub. Close to a busy road so care was needed with our grandchildren aged 3 and 5.

Generally fine & comfortable but could have done with more instruction over location for switching on hot water & which day the rubbish was collected. Also the tv was pretty useless.
