Nestling in the picturesque north Norfolk village of Docking, this traditional country cottage is just a few miles from wonderful sandy beaches and is a comfy, welcoming and spacious holiday home.

This delightful cottage is situated in the charming village of Docking, a few miles from the wonderful sandy beaches of the north Norfolk coast, including Old Hunstanton and Wells. With plenty of fantastic coastal and country walks to enjoy, this is a perfect base for exploring this beautiful region. The breath-taking Norfolk Coastal Path leads from Hunstanton to Cromer, or you could explore the Sir doger Scott Walk which follows the old sea bank along the Wash from the historic market town of King’s Lynn. Local attractions include the royal residence of Sandringham House, Holkham Hall, Castle Acre and Houghton Hall, set in a 450 acre deer park. Nature-lovers can enjoy the RSPB reserve at Titchwell and Snettisham Coastal Park.

Upon entering this charming and welcoming cottage, you will find yourself in the entrance hallway which leads you to the attractively designed kitchen, you will find it fully equipped with an electric oven and grill, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. There is also useful breakfast area. The comfortable and inviting lounge is an ideal space for relaxing in at the end of a fantastic day, with plenty of comfy seating, TV/DVD and views out into the garden. You will also find a delightful dining room, with seating for eight guests and a sunroom which offers a sitting area with a view into the garden. Exploring the ground floor further you will find a single bedroom with an en-suite shower room complete with shower, WC and fitted grab rails. There is also a separate ground-floor WC. Going upstairs, there are three more cosy bedrooms. There’s a large double room, a twin room and a single room. You will also find a bathroom complete with a power shower over the bath and a WC.

Stepping outside, you can relax and dine al fresco in the fully enclosed, paved garden to rear of the property, complete with garden furniture. There is also a paved and gravel garden area to the front with a large gate. Off-road parking is available for two cars.


Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

The cottage was a tad difficult to find, although the directions were very good, and access to the property was a little difficult due to the narrow gateway, but plenty of parking space outside the cottage. The position of the cottage was useful for travelling around being quite central for surrounding areas.

We stayed for a family holiday with 2 proper grown ups and then 18, 17 and 12 year old so great that they each had a room and that we had ample bathroom facilities. The kitchen was well equipped which was great as we cooked most days and loved the large separate dining room which became a very social space for us. Callaby cottage is a very lovely, homely home of which I could happily live in myself. It is well presented although upstairs could do with a bit of an update and new mattresses.

A very comfortable holiday cottage. Nice decor, excellent facilities, well equipped, two shower rooms and three toilets - perfect for our three generation family holiday to Norfolk. The cottage is situated in an excellent location for the coast and the west of the county. Docking has good amenities and does the surrounding area. The cottage is spacious and has a small outside courtyard to enhance the space.

A lovely cottage in a great location easy access to major roads,sleeps six quite comfortable although no Woodrobe in the smaller bedroom so you have to use ones in the other bedrooms. If your tall be careful of the lamp shades as there quite low.

Good location. Nice property. Tricky access for a big car but not unmanageable. Also, the water pump is quite noisy in the night if the loo is flushed.

This is a lovely cottage, would recommend highly to staying there. A good base for travelling to others areas etc. We were a family of 4 adults, 2 children and 2 dogs and lots of room for all of us. Felt like a home from home.
