Property code: KT080

This property is located in Aylsham, a well-connected town lying just off the A140, allowing easy access to Norwich to the south and Cromer to the north. Aylsham itself is a small market town which offers a good range of shops, pubs, and cafes. Interestingly, the town is one of only five in the UK to be part of the Cittaslow network: an international association which recognises towns which are making a commitment to improving the quality of life in their town and follow the principles of the Slow Food movement. Ten miles to the north, the coastal town of Cromer offers a quintessentially English seaside experience, with a wide sandy beach, a pier-end theatre, and a fantastic range of independent eateries. The Norfolk Broads are also within a 10-mile drive, with the town of Wroxham being a great place to hire a boat for a relaxing day on the tranquil waters.

The main living area of this cottage is located on the first floor however, the kitchen/diner can be found on the ground floor and is the first room that guests will come to on arrival. In one corner of the room, the dining table seats three guests, whilst in the kitchen area there is an oven, hob, microwave, and a fridge with ice compartment. A cloakroom with WC can be found towards the rear of the room, as can the wooden cottage-style stairs which lead to the first floor. The lounge is a cosy-feeling room with a beamed ceiling, a wood burner-effect electric fire, and a TV/DVD. A door from the lounge leads out to a hallway off from which there is a double bedroom which has a romantic atmosphere thanks to the grand four-poster bed. The second bedroom, meanwhile, is at the top of the stairs and is a galleried room which overlooks the dining room below and has a single bed to which an additional pull-out single bed can be added on request. The shower room is also on the first floor and offers a shower and WC.

Outside, the property benefits from a small patio, which is fully-enclosed and has garden furniture provided, making it a pleasant spot for enjoying alfresco drinks or meals. There is off-road parking for one car in a covered space and there is also an external laundry room with a washing machine which is shared with two other properties.

Excellent cottage. Lovely accommodation. Kitchen well equipped. Lovely location 2 minute walk into Aylsham Only problem was parking. Very tight for 3 cars. Local car park free so we parked there. Only a 5 minute walk.

My sister and I would highly recommend this property. It was beautifully looked after and the owner made sure everything was perfect for our stay. Thank you. Situated in the heart of Aylsham only steps away from the Market Place and its independent shops and cafes with regular buses to the Coast or Norwich, it is a gem.

Located a true 1 minute walk from very centre of Aylsham .Lovely, clean unique property with good wifi .Steep winding staircase may be an issue for very young or infirm but it did add to the character of the place. Would recommend.

What a comfortable cottage! Convenient to everything we needed and wanted. We had a lovely break. Thank you. The only thing we couldn't find was a cheese grater.
