Sedgeford is a tranquil village ideally situated in the north-western corner of Norfolk, and is just four miles from some of the area’s loveliest beaches, including Heacham which is also home to the well-known Lavender Farm. Hunstanton is just five miles away, with a choice of shops, golf course, Sea Life centre and a glorious beach. Peddars Way, an ancient Roman road, runs through Sedgeford, leading onto the breath-taking Norfolk Coastal Path. You could also explore the stunning Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which includes numerous fascinating nature reserves including Blakeney Point, Pensthorpe Natural Park and RSPB Titchwell. Houghton Hall, the Holkham Estate and Sandringham are nearby, or you could visit Dersingham, Burnham Market, King’s Lynn, or Fakenham.

On entering this lovely and traditional carrstone cottage, which dates from 1823 and retains original features including exposed beams, you will find yourself in the bright and welcoming lounge. With plenty of comfy seating, Smart TV/DVD/Blu-ray, the light and airy lounge offers an ideal space for relaxing in at the end of a fantastic day. There’s also a good selection of books, games, DVDs and maps, and a landline which accepts incoming and emergency calls only. You will also find a tastefully furnished dining room with seating for six guests and a hi-fi system complete with CD, iPod dock and radio. Heading into the traditional and spacious galley-style kitchen which overlooks the garden via a stable door, you will find it fully equipped with an electric fan double oven and hob with extractor, microwave, toaster and large fridge/freezer. The washing machine and laundry facilities are housed in the nearby utility room. There is also a ground-floor shower room complete with WC. Going upstairs to the first floor you will find three cosy bedrooms: there are two double rooms – one with a king-size bed and TV, and a single bedroom which has views out over the garden and a bathroom with a bath, wash basin and WC.

Stepping outside you can relax and dine al fresco in the charming and fully enclosed garden which has a patio, lawn, garden furniture and a BBQ. Off-road parking is available for two cars. Please note that the driveway drops on the right-hand side so beware if driving low slung cars.

You can also meet Harvey and Harriet the Bears who live at Honey Cottage and like to go out on trips with visitors.

We had a really enjoyable stay at HoneyCottage. Although not particularly near the sea, many great places to visit in North Norfolk within easy reach - including Sandringham!

Lovely cottage and location to explore the area. Very clean and comfortable. Garden is secure for the dogs however all entry is via the main gates so need to take care to lock the gates to avoid any potential for dogs to escape eg postman. Road outside is quite busy at times.

A comfortable & attractive cottage with a very secure garden for our dog. It was very clean, with good quality furnishings & a well-equipped kitchen. We found the road outside a little noisy in the early morning. Well situated for visiting the north Norfolk coast, Sandringham & Hunstanton.

Honey Cottage is a lovely comfortable place. It was prettily decorated for Christmas and had everything you need for a great break. There was plenty of good quality equipment that made it a home from home. We took our spaniels with us and they thoroughly enjoyed the enclosed garden particularly as it was covered in snow and ice! Absolutely beautiful cottage, in a quiet rural location. Our family and dog enjoyed staying at Honey Cottage so much and we were sad to leave at the end of our 7 days. Lots of useful info provided by owners, nice welcoming gift and so beautifully clean. Thank you for sharing your cottage with us!

Another lovely week at the beautiful and well laid out & equipped Honey Cottage, Sedgeford. The weather tried to beat us - and lost! Perfectly located to give us easy access to some new experiences (e.g. Brancaster Overy Straith & Causeway and North Norfolk steam railway) and visit some old favourites (e.g. Heacham Lavender Farm and Pensthorpe NatuRead moreral Park) and the cottage had everything we could possible need and more - perfect for us and our furry family members.
