This charming cottage is set within the conservation area of the famous and beautiful medieval pilgrim village of Little Walsingham, and faces the Roman Catholic National Shrine – a replica of the medieval shrine of Lady Richeldis in honour of the Annunciation. The village is also known for the ruins of its 12th century Priory. The village itself has some lovely old medieval streets containing some interesting shops and a museum containing a courthouse from the times of George III. Just a mile away is the delightful smaller village of Great Walsingham. You can also enjoy a trip on the Wells and Walsingham Light Railway which will take you to the charming village of Wells-next-the-Sea. Fakenham and Titchwell are also nearby.

On entering this cosy and welcoming cottage, you will find yourself in the bright and inviting lounge, which is an ideal space to relax in at the end of a wonderful day, with plenty of comfy seating, a wood burner, TV/DVD and music system. Going into the light and stylishly designed kitchen/diner, you will find a charming dining area with seating for six guests, and the kitchen is fully equipped with a fan assisted electric oven, ceramic hob with an extractor, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and condensing tumble dryer. Heading up to the first floor you will find two cosy double bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king-size bed and overlooks the garden and is heated by a storage radiator, a double bedroom having plenty of storage space. You will also find a bathroom complete with a hand-held shower over the bath and a WC. There is an additional radiator on a thermostat that runs 24 hours, as needed, on the upstairs landing.

Stepping outside, the enclosed garden can be accessed via French doors from the kitchen and up a few steps to a small lawn with flower border. There is a corrugated iron shed which is listed and houses garden chairs, so you can sit back and unwind. Beyond the lawn is a gravelled area of garden with the original pump. Entrance to the shrine and its beautiful, peaceful gardens is only 30 yards away from the house.

I loved this cottage. In the fabulous village of Walsingham. Paid for weekly parking which meant I didn't have to get up to move the car. Beautiful enclosed garden. Everything we needed for a great holiday.
