A stay at this farmland property affords guests the opportunity to stay close to the coast, whilst avoiding the hustle and bustle of some of the busy resort towns. A true rural retreat, the cottage is surrounded by rolling fields, and yet is only 1.5 miles south of the seaside village of Brancaster where there is a choice of places to eat many of which specialise in local seafood and the mussels for which the village is known. Brancaster’s beach is a fabulous wide stretch of golden sand which is not only perfect playing beach games, building sandcastles, and kitesurfing, but also has an atmospheric shipwreck, the SS Vina, which appears as the tide goes out.
The front door of this farm cottage opens directly into the first of two lounge rooms, a welcoming room with two sofas and an armchair, a TV/DVD, and an open fire which brings a warming glow to the room in the colder months of the year. Next to this room, the second lounge is a cosy snug room which has a TV and a double sofa-bed which can accommodate two extra guests by prior arrangement. The kitchen/diner has been brightly finished and offers a good range of equipment including a double oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and a table with four chairs. The property’s sunny conservatory is accessed through the kitchen and offers a second dining space with a large table seating eight guests. Up the steep cottage style staircase there are three bedrooms and a bathroom offering a bath with shower over, and WC. The master bedroom is a double room with plenty of space for storing clothes as well as an en-suite shower room with a WC. The second bedroom is a twin room which offers the extra benefit of a walk-in wardrobe, whilst the third bedroom is a bunk bedroom with a set of full-size bunks.
Outside, the property offers a spacious lawn to the rear of the property which is surrounded by fields and is a fantastic place in which to enjoy relaxed leisure time. The lawn is overlooked by a patio for which garden furniture and a BBQ are provided. There is off-road parking for three cars.
