This charming and welcoming traditional semi-detached 18th century holiday cottage is set in a delightful Norfolk village, ideally situated for exploring the stunning coast and beautiful countryside.

This lovely cottage is set in a tranquil village in the heart of the Norfolk countryside, and is ideal for exploring the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. You will be just a short drive from delightful seaside towns and villages including Wells-next-the-Sea and Brancaster, or you could explore some of the fantastic nature reserves nearby including those at Snettisham and Blakeney. The Wells and Walsingham Light Railway runs through the area, and you will be just a couple of miles from the medieval pilgrim village of Little Walsingham. Other charming market towns and villages within easy reach include Thornham, Holt and Fakenham, home of the Fakenham Racecourse. Pensthorpe Natural Park, the Holkham Estate and Sandringham are all nearby.

On entering this delightful 18th century cottage, which retains several original features including exposed beams, you will find yourself in the comfortable and inviting lounge. Complete with TV, comfy seating and a traditional wood burner, the lounge is an ideal space to relax in at the end of a wonderful day. You will also find a charming dining room with original floorboards, beamed ceiling and space for six guests. Moving into the kitchen, a narrow galley style kitchen  you will find it fully equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer dishwasher and washing machine. There is also a ground-floor WC. Going upstairs to the first floor you will find two cosy bedrooms. There’s a twin room with extensive views, and a spacious double room with a king-size bed, TV/DVD and an en-suite shower room with WC. There is also a family bathroom complete with a shower over the bath and a WC.

Stepping outside you will find a small enclosed rear garden, which is mainly paved, with a small lawn and garden furniture, and which enjoys views out over the playing field and pinewoods beyond. There is a larger front garden with seating, and off-road parking is available for two cars.


Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

We were disappointed with the cleanliness of cottage and that the internet didnt work . We had a few issues with the heating as well . The cottage was well located and easy access to Wells Sheringham Blakeney and Holt

The lounge rug was covered in dog hairs we had to hoover it. A mixture of dirty poor quality pans made cooking on hob difficult. Non induction pan needs throwing out. Our Christmas was spoiled as we had no WiFi and no mobile signal so we couldnt Skype family. I missed seeing my granddaughter on her first Christmas Day. Lovely couple of days spent at Rose cottage. Excellent for peace and quite and relaxation. Very comfortable cottage with plenty of room so your not on top of each other and Perfect little enclosed garden for the dogs. 5 min walk to the local pub/restaurant The carpenters arms must book in advance though as they are very busy. We have just returned from rose cottage in wighton This is a stunning property which has bags of character It is 3 miles from Wells and its fabulous pinewood and beach and is close to so many other beautiful beaches and North Norfolk attractions There is a wonderful pub just a five minute walk down the lane which serves excellent food The cottage iRead mores dog friendly, and has a secure and enclosed small back garden and a large , pretty and secure front garden , Cant wait to return Hide

The cottage was in a beautiful location with close proximity to many visitor attractions, i.e. Holkham Hall, Wells etc. It was set in a very peaceful village with a lovely gastro pub within walking distance.
