A stylish cottage offering reverse level accommodation for four guests, located in the coastal village of Brancaster Staithe, just as short walk from the village’s historic harbour.

Located in the pretty coastal village of Brancaster Staithe, this cottage enjoys an excellent location on the North Norfolk coast, within 10 miles of some of the region’s best loved beaches in Holkham, Hunstanton, and Wells-next-the-Sea. Although small the village is well-appointed and has everything that guests will need to have an enjoyable holiday, including a fantastic shop specialising in fresh local seafood which will no doubt be of great interest to keen cooks. For those who prefer to eat out there are two pubs in the village, both serving food. A short walk away the village harbour is a lovely place to enjoy a wander around and also offers a choice of boat trips taking visitors around the coast and out to the picturesque Scolt Head Island, home to an abundance of wildlife.

The reverse-level layout of this cottage means that on arrival, the first rooms that guests will come to are two bedrooms and a shower room offering a shower and WC. The first bedroom is a pleasant double room, whilst the second bedroom is a delightful twin room. Stairs lead from the hallway up to the first floor where the main living area is situated. This gorgeous open-plan space is a wonderfully light-filled room comprising a lounge/kitchen/diner, with the lounge area overlooking the front aspect of the property. There are two leather sofas to relax on, perhaps whilst enjoying a film on the TV/DVD or getting lost in a good book in front of the cosy wood burner. To the opposite end of the room, the kitchen/diner looks out over the marshes which lie behind the property and has double doors opening onto a Juliet balcony allowing guests to take in the fresh sea air. The dining table seats four diners, whilst the kitchen area is well-equipped with an oven, hob, microwave fridge, dishwasher, and washing machine. In the corner of the room a door leads through to the second shower room, which again offers a shower and WC.

To the rear of the property there is a small patio area with garden furniture provided, allowing guests to enjoy sundowners in the evening. There is direct access from here to the surrounding marshes, allowing guests to head out for leisurely walks, which will be of particular interest to those with an interest in wildlife and photography. There is off-road parking for one car on the driveway, with further roadside parking available just outside the cottage.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

This was our first visit to Norfolk and we could not have chosen a better property. For 2 couples it is perfect. The coastal path is so close, fantastic pubs in walking distance and the fish shop opposite - great location. The house is well resourced and has a relaxing ambience - perfect for a holiday.

Ideal location with wonderful views. Good range of services within walking distance. Coasthopper bus stops almost outside, ideal for those with a bus pass.

I loved this accommodation and have recommended it to a friend who has booked for February! The accommodation is well appointed and equipped and the location and views are perfect. The fact that it is dog friendly is a real plus as we take our dog everywhere we go .

Wonderful cottage, a bird hide with all the comforts of home! View over the marshland is perfect for siting & bird watching, the changing tide & the world go by. Location perfect to tour Norfolk coastline. Everything about the cottage makes it feel like home from home.

A beautifully appointed cottage with a cosy, contemporary interior and a fabulous view out over the Brancaster marshes. The village has two great pubs, a petrol station and a marvellous local grocery store, alongside some small shops and a super cafe. The perfect property in a perfect location. Couldn't fault it. We had the best Christmas there.

Great position on the coastal road (which is not actually that busy) for easy access to lots of points of interest. 50ft walk to our favourite pub. Great that dogs are welcome. Would love to come back in the summer to make the most of the opening doors from the kitchen. If more than 1 car plenty of parking in the road outside.

An amazing place to stay, clean, modern with the most amazing and constantly changing view you could wish for. The upside down living works perfectly. There is a lot of storage for belongings in the 2 bedrooms. Bathrooms are really clean with good powerful and hot showers. The location is great, next door but one to the pub, village shop a few minuRead moretes walk away either along the road or down the beach track. Tennis courts across the road at the village hall. Beautiful cottage with outstanding views over the salt marshes & the sea. Very well equipped with modern equipment and decorated to a high standard with two good bathrooms with excellent showers. Cottage in a great location for walking, site seeing and two good pubs (White Horse & Jolly Sailor), walking distance.
