Tucked away in a no-through lane, yet near the centre of the bustling village of Snettisham, this cottage is perfectly located for you to enjoy the stunning North Norfolk coastline, with its miles of sandy beaches and big skies. With a blend of contemporary and traditional styling, the cottage works equally well as a romantic coastal retreat for two, or a luxury bolthole for family or friends to escape for a long weekend or relaxing holiday.

Upon entering the cottage, you will find yourself in the welcoming entrance hall where you can kick off your shoes and hang your coats. The first room you will find yourself in is the bright and spacious family kitchen which is very well equipped, with Bosch and Dualit appliances, fully integrated dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, fridge freezer, gas range style cooker with two electric ovens, large refectory table seating six, pegs for coats, digital Roberts radio, stone floor, underfloor heating and double doors onto the garden. The lounge has cosy oak flooring, an open fireplace and Chesneys wood burner, two comfy sofas, armchair, coffee table, flat screen Sony smart TV with Freeview and Netflix, DVD player and Bluetooth speaker to stream your favourite music or radio station. You can also find a WC on the ground floor.

After a long day of exploring, take the stairs up to the first floor. The master bedroom features a locally-crafted king size brass bed with Hypnos mattress, ample walk-in wardrobe storage, chest of drawers, bedside tables, reading lamps and en-suite shower room with a walk-in rain shower, console sink and WC. The second bedroom is a twin room with two comfortable full size single beds, built-in wardrobe, small set of drawers and bedside lamps. The third bedroom offers a small double bed, table, lamp and built-in wardrobe. There is a large family bathroom on the first floor with rolltop bath, perfect for a long soak after a day’s exploring the beautiful North Norfolk beaches and coastal paths.

With underfloor heating throughout the ground floor and radiators upstairs as well as the log burner in the living room, the cottage is warm and toasty during the cooler months and throughout the year is filled with light all day long.

A shingle driveway to the side of the cottage provides private, off-road parking for two cars. There's a gate to a secure, fully-enclosed garden that is safe for dogs and children. There's a large shed providing bike storage if required and BBQ. The garden is also accessed via double doors from the kitchen.

I was overwhelmed when I entered the cottage, it was so cozy and beautiful. It was like staying in a home not just a holiday holiday home. It was very well equipped and we were able to cook a whole Christmas dinner in the kitchen. Perfect if you have a dog as there is a lovely garden, a lead and food bowls provided for our dog.

The cottage was very comfortable and as far as we know nothing was missing. No inventory so nothing to check. Everything worked well and it was beautifully decorated and furnished. The beds were comfortable and plenty of hot water. No coat hangers in two of the three bedrooms. In total there were just 8 hangers in the main bedroom. It was also pRead moreointed out that the washbasin plugs were a bit dodgy and this was a bit irritating for the children as we didnt want to damage anything. Something that needs attention I think. After our stay at Walnut Cottage my parents (in their late seventies), 6 year old son and labrador Mabel all announced they wanted to move there. OK, maybe Mabel didnt say so, but she was very happy with the underfloor heated floor and we went on some fab walks through the village and past the church, where she had great fun running from us to chasRead moree the local hares. The village is small but perfectly formed, with a handy Co-Op a one minute walk from the cottage for forgotten supplies and The Rose and Crown, with really friendly staff offering advice on how to always win at nought and crosses and lovely food. Everything in Walnut Cottage is gorgeous, meaning you come away with house envy. We wish wed had longer there to try out more of the local restaurants and beaches, so will certainly rebook for a long weekend next year Hide
