Set in the heart of the village with much to offer, with attractive buildings, a lovely deli, cafe and pubs all within walking distance, and expanses of farmland and the Howardian Hills close by.

A perfect location to explore the peaceful countryside surrounding the property, Sheriff Hutton is perfectly located to enjoy a trip to the historical City of York, enjoy walking the City Walls, great independent shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs all within a short drive from the cottage. Enjoy a visit to Helmsley, a gem of a market town with its Norman Castle, delis, independent shops and galleries. On the North Yorkshire Coast, explore the old smugglers haunts and fishing village of Robin Hood Bay and be inspired by arty Staithes further up the coast. The forests and woods are one of North Yorkshires best kept secrets, an unexpected treasure, from woodland strolls amongst the ancient trees to 70 miles of cycle tracks in Dalby Forest.

Step into the property into the cosy lounge with wood burner and relax on the comfy sofa, enjoying a film on the Smart TV/DVD or reading a book. There is a drop leaf table and chairs in the lounge enabling you to enjoy some home cooking or perhaps sample some of the local produce. A door takes you through to the pretty kitchen/diner, well-equipped with electric oven and hob, washing machine, fridge/freezer and microwave. From the kitchen/diner there is a door which leads out to the garden. Heading upstairs to the first floor you will find the two bedrooms, one king-size and one single bedroom. Also, on this floor is the stylish bathroom with shower over bath and WC.

Heading outside, to the rear of the property there is a pretty enclosed garden and an area with table and seating to enjoy some al fresco dining. There is off-road parking for one car and ample roadside parking available, subject to availability.

A real gem. This was our first stay in a holiday cottage as we usually stay in hotels. Not being entirely sure what to expect we were very pleasantly surprised. Lovely cottage, I have never been to a holiday let that provides so much for the convenience of the client. The area is beautiful and so convenient for travelling around the area.

A very cosy, well decorated and well equipped cottage. There are lots of indoor and outdoor things to do within a 90 minute radius and lots of lovely local walks.

A fantastic little cottage that was tastefully decorated and equipped with all the basics for our stay. A great location to explore the rest of Yorkshire and good local amenities. It was just perfect for our family of three. I would recommend and would happily book it again for another time.

The cottage is very clean and extremely comfortable. It has ample parking and is close to local amenities. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen very well equipped. Lovely cottage in a most beautiful setting, close to village amenities. We were able to drive to coast, moors & dales. Though quite a lot of driving, so good to get back to whisper cottage. Recommend a trip on the North Yorkshire steam railway from Pickering to Whitby, good day out.

We were immediately impressed with presentation, of this lovely cottage. Spotlessly clean, well equipped with good quality equipment and easy instructions for everything. We had a great 4 day stay visiting friends and family safely outside in Bridlington, Hull and en route. A welcome, safe escape after Covid lockdown and restrictions. The cottage was pristine and on arrival the owners had left a bottle of fizz, flowers and a birthday cake for my wife who was celebrating her birthday on arrival. Whisper Cottage was a delight. It was well appointed to a tasteful and high standard. Sheriff Hutton is a lovely village with a good village shop, pubs and walks, especially around the castle. The church is interesting. The cottage was good value.

Whispers is beautifully furnished set in a charming village with plenty of walks and a superb deli a few minutes walk. The coast is just under an hours drive away but beware traffic on the A64 at rush hours. York itself is about 10 miles .

Beautiful village setting, peaceful with lots of walks for the dog near by. Very comfortable with everything we needed for a relaxing break. A couple of pubs within walking distance, the castle which was very welcoming and dog friendly, no food at this one but a friendly landlord who recommended some places to visit. A bit tricky to locate the first time, but after that it was perfect. Every facility was there and a lovely location with nice walk to very nice local pub. Would recommend to anybody looking for somewhere convenient for the Dales, Moors, Coast and cities.
