This cottage is great for those wanting a warm and welcoming base in the heart of this popular Peak District village with friendly amenities and glorious walks with stunning scenery from the doorstep.

A cosy cottage in a village position with fantastic access to Kinder Scout. Hayfield is located at the north-eastern edge of the Peak District National Park, making it off the beaten track compared to some regions. The north of the Peak District is emptier, starkly beautiful, and attractive to those that shun the crowds. There are some great day trips to be had in the area, so make sure Blue John Cavern, Chatsworth House, Buxton Spring, Lyme Park, the Pennine Way and Castleton are on your radar. The Peaks have a strong literary connection to Jane Austen, so there are numerous pilgrimages to add to your list of day trips too.

The entrance to the cottage leads into the warm and inviting lounge/diner with comfortable seating waiting for you to sink your self into after a hard day hill hiking. The open fire is the perfect place to curl up in front of and watch your favourite programmes on the TV, the space also offers a dining table. Heading through to the kitchen which offers everything you need to rustle up a good meal during your stay, such as electric oven and induction hob, microwave, fridge and washing machine. Upstairs to the first floor is the master bedroom is bright and airy with a king-size bed, plenty of storage and a window with views overlooking the village. The second smaller bedroom offers a single bed with views overlooking the back fields. Get ready for the day ahead in the bathroom which offers shower over bath and WC.

Outside there is a small garden area which is accessed via steps leading to an elevated patch overlooking the famous ‘Twenty Trees’ a local landmark when climbing Kinder Scout. There is roadside parking (subject to availability) to the front of the cottage.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
