A walkers paradise in the Peak District National Park with popular traffic free cycle trails, a big hit for anyone wanting a relaxing day exploring on two wheels, and there are plenty of cycle hire shops nearby if you don't want to bring your own. The property is within easy reach of the gorgeous country houses of Chatsworth and Haddon Hall which are ideal for whiling away an afternoon. The nearby pretty market town of Bakewell lies in the heart of the Peak District National Park and offers a great place for meandering through the various shops, cafes and restaurants, don't forget to stop for a Bakewell Pudding. Critch Tramway village lets you enjoy unlimited tram rides in a recreated village street and is great on rainy days.
Stepping into the cottage brings you to the cosy lounge with comfortable seating, feature fireplace with wood burner which is made for curling up in front of by the TV with a good book and a cup of tea after a day walking the hills. Moving through to the dining room which is bright and airy and provides a lovely space for a celebration dinner. If you don't fancy trying the nearby eateries, why not cook at home and make the most of the facilities which include electric oven and gas hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and washing machine. To the first floor you will find two bedrooms, one double bedroom and one single which share the family bathroom with a shower over the bath.
Outside the cottage is a courtyard area with a table and chairs to sit out and enjoy the summer sun, fully enclosed meaning it’s great for kids and pets. There is no parking directly outside the cottage due to it being on the main village road but a parking area can be found a short walk away.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
