Grounds and gardens were gorgeous and really well maintained. Gardeners cottage needs to be updated and deep cleaned. Stairs are very steep. When you turn off the lights the dark and quietness of the area were very relaxing. Pool was lovely and warm.

A beautiful location, but we found the cottage to be very underequipped, especially for 6 people. The kitchen especially was lacking pots and pans and serving dishes which made it difficult to cater for 6. There were chairs for 6 at the dining table, but some of them were folding chairs which looked like they belonged outside. There wasnt any outdoRead moreor seating or table. We also found the property very damp - the weather had been wet, but even the bedding in the rooms felt damp to the touch. Hide

Beautiful location, if you want to get away from it all this is a great base to explore the unsoiled surroundings. The cottage was basic and had few amenities

One of the best holiday rents we have ever stopped in, this wonderful cottage was much more spacious than expected, warm, clean, comfy, ideal location within reach to so many wonderful places of interest and activities. The grounds were huge, well kept and surrounded by sweet smelling apple orchards, views over the fields and local farmland on our Read moremorning walks were wonderful. Well equipped, even a BBQ area and the use of the swimming pool was a huge bonus with grandkids. Couldnt fault our stay Hide

Lovely, quiet spot - great for exploring from or just relaxing. Would love to make a return trip someday in the summer when the pool is open.
