Charming luxurious bespoke shepherds hut with wood burner perfect for cosy nights in. Located in a peaceful, tranquil setting which makes this an ideal romantic getaway.

Located on the outskirts of the charming Kent village of Appledore and set on the Romney Marsh this pretty shepherd's hut is within easy reach of the local antique shops, village store and popular pub and tea shop. The historic market towns of Tenterden and Rye are close by offering boutique shopping, as is the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which boasts an abundance of beautiful walks and scenery. This is a fantastic base from which to explore the many local vineyards, gardens and historic houses, as well as the Kent and East Sussex coastline, with the soft golden sand of Camber only ten miles away.

Leading through a private garden area and up a couple of steps, you are met with this delightful shepherds hut, perfect for a luxurious romantic glamping experience. Entering the property, you will find to the left the snug sleeping area with a king-size bed and wall mounted Smart TV/DVD and radio/iPod dock, perfect for listening to music, and plenty of storage space. There is a dining table with seating and a wood burner perfect for cosy nights in, underfloor heating ensures you’re always warm and toasty. The kitchen area is well-equipped with an electric oven and two ring hob, fridge with ice compartment and butlers sink. The shepherd's hut is complete with an en-suite shower room with shower and WC.

Venturing outside to the private garden with a table and chairs where you can enjoy watching buzzards fly over whlist the neighbouring sheep roam around their fully fenced field. This is a perfect area for al fresco dining with a charcoal BBQ provided, or perhaps enjoy a nice glass of wine or a good local ale. There is private parking available nearby.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Amazing and unique property. The hut worked perfectly for us to relax and unwind, even whilst storm Dennis raged outside. The hut have everything we needed, especially the wood burner!

The village it is located in is so peaceful and very sleepy with stunning houses to look at. Make sure to visit the Woolpack Inn at Warehorne too! Lyndsey provides you with all the basics like tea, coffee, sugar, milk, pots and pans, towels and bedding! She really has thought of everything! It is the perfect romantic getaway.

Everything thing is very well thought out, there is nothing that you will be without in this beautiful hut! They really have gone the extra mile and more to make sure your stay is perfect. A lovely little property, very cosy, clean and incredibly well equipped. Whod have thought you could fit so much into such a compact space!? Clearly a lot of thought had gone into trying to cater to its guests every need. Walks on the doorstep, and a wealth of history to explore nearby. Would recommend.

We loved our stay in The Mad Hutters. A perfect long weekend getaway! Peaceful, secluded location. Good quality, well equipped accommodation. Plenty to do in the surrounding area. Tenterden is a very nice town, with a good range of eating places.

Wow what a gem! Perfect in every way. They had thought of every thing so it was like home from home. We had perfect weather too so made good use of the bbq. Great get away from it all. only a 20 min drive to camber or Dungeness. Highly recommended thank you

Great, quirky and fun place to stay. Nice quiet surroundings. Loved watching the sheep and the rabbits in the field opposite. Great little extras on arrival, milk, bread, butter, jam and a lovely piece of cake each :) would definitely recommend!

Mad Hutters is absolutely lovely. It is beautifully furnished and really well equipped with good quality utensils, crockery, bedlinen, towels, etc.etc. The extra touch of home made cake, etc. was very welcoming. The owners are friendly and helpful, whilst not intrusive. We visited in summer but it would also be a cosy retreat in winter. Definitely stay here. Its in a stunning little location, just outside the main street of Appledore. Lyndsey the host was so lovely, and even gave us a welcome piece of cake each.
