Detached house great for large families or groups of friends. Situated in the best surfing village in the UK, beach within walking distance as well as shops and pubs, off-road parking for three cars.

Croyde is a chocolate box village with many thatched houses, shops and trendy eateries favoured by young and old alike. Its golden sandy beach gives you an opportunity to try a wide range of water sports. On either side of the village are more beaches where the sand, sea and surf can be enjoyed, Woolacombe, Saunton and Putsborough being just some. Walkers will be spoilt for choice with direct access onto the South West Coast Path, from Croyde, taking you across the spectacular headland to Baggy Point, Exmoor National Park is within easy reach by car. Other attractions and places of interest nearby include the links golf course at Saunton, Barnstaple with its market and high street shops, Exmoor Zoo, Ilfracombe and Lynton and Lynmouth are also worth a visit.

This spacious and well-appointed house sits in a peaceful residential cul-de-sac and is a short walk from the village centre. On entering the property, you immediately note how light and airy the rooms are with the lounge/diner to your left with limed oak flooring, sofas, large wall mounted TV/DVD, music system and welcoming wood burner for those cooler months. The glass dining table is great for formal meals and seats eight guests. There is a sun room with comfy seating just off the lounge with French doors that open out onto the garden, ideal for quiet reading or an afternoon nap. The kitchen/diner is well-equipped and has a large breakfast table with benches, seating eight easily and ideal for more casual dining. Spacious and well-equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and iPod docking station. There is also a washer/dryer in the adjoining utility cupboard and door to the garden. There are four bedrooms, a stylish king-size zip-and-link (which can be made up as a twin on request) is situated on the ground floor, this is also a separate shower room with WC. Heading up the stairs to the first floor there are a further three bedrooms, a double with TV and en-suite shower room with shower and WC and views over the dunes to the sea beyond. A further double and a twin and a bathroom with bath and WC completes the accommodation.

Stepping outside, there is a well maintained and enclosed garden surrounding the property ideal for children and dogs. A paved terraced area with garden furniture offers the chance to eat alfresco or just enjoy some late afternoon sun. There is a charcoal BBQ available. Keen surfers and beach lovers will look forward to returning to the house and use the outside hot shower, great for rinsing off wetsuits or sandy toes and paws. A further seating area with hammock makes this a fabulous spot to unwind and truly relax. The garage can be accessed from the garden and offers secure storage for surfboards, bikes and buggies. There is off-road parking available for three cars.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

The house met our expectations and was as described on the website. We would happily rent it again if staying in Croyde again. It was "lived in" so fine for an 11, 7 and 3 year old guests - we could relax .

Good sized rooms and great garden for kids and dogs. Plenty of space for 3 generations staying together. Lovely location and close to amenities. Really appreciated the welcome pack of cream tea too. Lovely property

Good location within a short walk of the village and beach. The property was as described and ideal for our family of 9. We liked the opportunity to sit out in the conservatory when it was too cold or windy in the garden. The only criticism was the main bathroom could do with a proper shower over the bath.

A fantastic house 2 mins drive from Saunton Sands. Spacious kitchen, with 4 wonderful and cosy bedrooms, and 3 bathrooms. Excellent lounge with log fire for a cosy evening in. Couldnt recommend highly enough.

We stayed in Dunes house for just under a week and had a great time. There were 8 of us - 6 adults and 2 children. The location of the house was perfect being just a few minutes from the beautiful Croyde beach and village centre. The house was very well equipped and presented pretty well. Although parking in front of the garage was narrow and wouldRead more only accommodate two small cars there was further parking behind two large double gates where two larger cars could easily be parked.
