A stunning barn now offering contemporary and stylish accommodation, set on a 22-acre smallholding with animals where guests can experience country life in the heart of the Devon countryside.

This stunning property sits to one side of the owner’s farmhouse in the heart of the Devon countryside. Children can help collect eggs and watch the cattle, ponies, lambs, pigs and chickens, all kept on site. The nearby village of Chulmleigh is a delight with its shops, pubs, riding stables and golf course just a short distance away. Further afield are the sandy beaches of Saunton and Woolacombe. Or enjoy the splendour of Dartmoor and Exmoor. Other attractions include The Milky Way, The Big Sheep, RHS Rosemoor Gardens and the Cobbaton Combat Museum. For outdoor enthusiasts there are plenty of walking and cycling opportunities why not hire bikes or take a ride on part of the pretty Tarka Train Line providing easy access to both Barnstaple and Exeter.

On stepping into the property, you immediately notice the spaciousness, with the high ceilings and exposed beams to add to that feeling of space. This property is furnished and equipped in a contemporary style and benefits from underfloor heating throughout the ground floor. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is great for families and friends to cook, eat and relax together with comfy sofas, Smart TV and a warming wood burner and plenty of windows to let the light in, it’s a great place to stay at any time of the year. The kitchen area has an island unit and is well-equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer. A utility area can also be found on the ground floor with washing machine and tumble dryer in the separate WC. There are three bedrooms in total, the first of which is a super-king-size with en-suite shower room with shower and WC which can be found on the ground floor. Heading up the stairs to the first floor you have the two further bedrooms, one twin and one super-king-size. A bathroom with bath, separate shower and WC completes the accommodation.

Stepping outside there is a private patio and plenty of open lawn area to enjoy or wander over to the shared BBQ area with climbing tree, scramble net, tree swings, climbing rope, fire pit and hammock, where you can relax on the garden furniture. A walk across the meadow is a fenced wildlife pond with cosy shelter. Please note children must be accompanied. There is off-road parking for two cars.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

If you want a home from home then this is the place for you. My daughter's favourite part was bathing the ducklings and helping on the farm. Very welcoming hosts. We were able to meet other families and generally have a relaxed family holiday. The children were safe to play in the grounds with some fantastically thought out equipment. Beautifully designed & furnished property in a lovely rural location. A perfect setting for families with children; my daughters loved collecting eggs, visiting the farm animals and playing outside with the lovely farm dog, Honey, and the cats. Nikki, the owner, is friendly and helpful and took my girls off on several mini adventures around the farRead morem. We've made so many great memories on this holiday. Hide

One of the best holiday rentals we have had. Modern light comfortable house and easy access to the owner for any help needed. Only one problem, no mobile phone signal, but the Wi-Fi worked well at all times. Bonus is Very nice eggs when needed. Good shop about a mile away.
