Enjoy a country escape at any time of the year in this detached 18th century stone-built coach house conversion set in the grounds of a Georgian house on the edge of the Peak District National Park.

This property is ideally located close to Chapel-en-le-Frith which hosts a wide array of cafes, public houses and independent shops to explore. For walkers and outdoor enthusiasts there are numerous trails across the Goyt Valley, Kinder Scout, Edale and for those seeking something a little more challenging, the beginning of the Pennine Way is nearby. Why not take a trip and explore the four show caves at Castleton, Peak Cavern, Speedwell Cavern, Treak Cliff Cavern and Blue John Mine. The stunning Chatsworth House, gardens and farm shop are a short drive away and also worth a visit. And, the popular towns of Bakewell, Buxton, Matlock and Ashbourne are within easy reach from the property.

Stepping into the property there is a spacious area to kick off muddy boots and coats and let the cosy cottage welcome you home. There is a downstairs bathroom which offers a shower over bath and WC decorated with stylish tiles, bring your bubble bath and enjoy a good soak after a day on the hills. Heading upstairs to the first floor, past the huge picture window framing the surrounding woodland, you reach the double bedroom which is oozing with charm featuring exposed stone walls, whitewashed for style and serenity. Leading through to the social open-plan kitchen/lounge/diner, the vaulted ceilings enhance the space. The kitchen area provides all you need to rustle up a special meal, including an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge and freezer with nearby dining table to enjoy your efforts. Put your feet up and curl up on the sofa by the wood burner with a good book and let the cottage relax you or watch your favourite movie on the TV/DVD. Finally, there is a twin bedroom decorated with neutral tones and pretty fabrics providing a good night’s sleep.

Heading into the mature gardens there is a private seating area with BBQ next to a babbling stream, the perfect place to enjoy those long summer evenings with good company. There is of-road parking directly outside the property for two cars.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

A lovely old propert in a very quiet, pretty location; a real home from home.The welcome pack was the best weve ever had and the fresh flowers in the cottage were a lovely touch.We really enjoyed our week in the Peak District and it was made even better being able to get home to this cottage each day.We had everything we needed and didnt visit any Read morelocal eating places as we preferred to eat in every night in view of Covid.The cottage was extremely clean and covid-secure too. The Coach House is modern yet cosy at the same time. It has the perfect amount of space for a family of four. My two young kids (6 & 2) manoeuvred around the property fine. The stairs werent an issue for the youngest and they both enjoyed playing on the wooden floor Space. This is a lovely property within walking distance of Chapel but in a secluded setting. It was extremely well equipped with everything you could think of from great DVDs, a good music system to good WiFi (which helped make the holiday a success with two teenage boys). There were little touches that made our stay feel that bit special. The Coach House is perfectly situated to explore the high Peak District. It is beautifully furnished and is a very cosy place to stay. The hosts are very nice and helpful and it will be top of our list to go back to the next time we head to the Peaks.

The Coach House is a fantastic temporary home from which to explore the stunning Peak District. So close to many of the iconic Dark Peak landmarks you wont spend long in the car. Tom and Claire were the perfect hosts for this lovely little home from home. Stop your mind numbing search for a holiday home and book this one. Youll be glad you did.

This is a beautifully appointed, warm and welcoming cottage and Tom and Claire were so helpful. The beds are super comfortable and the kitchen modern and well equipped. We loved the secret garden. The station is very sweet, although not quite walkable, and suited us well for visiting Tatton Park flower show and for visitors from Manchester. We had a lovely stay in a very neat little holiday home. We had a lovely welcome from the owners and a really nice little hamper to get us started when we arrived, which is very thoughful. It is in a really nice setting with woodland around us away from traffic and people and is very private. Thankyou for a lovely week holiday.
