This charming cottage is set in the heart of Appledore and is situated right on the waterfront overlooking the estuary, it really is an idyllic setting at any time of year.

Enjoy the North Devon coastline with its breath-taking scenery, long sandy beaches and sheltered coves, as well as attractions to suit all tastes which include The Big Sheep, The Milky Way, Dartington Crystal, golf, swimming and more. You will also be just over a mile from the golden sands at Westward Ho! Popular attractions close by include Clovelly, a unique cliff-side fishing village, RHS Rosemoor Gardens, and Tapeley Park. In the evening visit one of the many popular pubs and restaurants all within walking distance or relax in the patio garden and watch the ships sail past.

On entering this Grade II listed former fisherman’s cottage, you are greeted by a warm open-plan lounge/diner with exposed stonework fireplace, Smart TV/DVD and welcoming wood burner, it is a great spot to put your feet up and relax. The stylish dining area has a glass table and plenty of room to dine comfortably. The French doors from the dining area open onto a patio area. Wander through from the lounge/diner and you will reach the superb kitchen well fitted with electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and washer/dryer, everything you could possibly need to cook, eat and entertain. Completing the ground floor is the separate WC. Heading up the traditional cottage style staircase to the first floor where will find the bedrooms, a king-size with TV and superb river views, a double also with fabulous estuary views and a good size bunk bedroom. Completing the property is the bright and spacious bathroom which is a delight and has a beautiful slipper bath, separate shower and WC.

Stepping outside, the patio area has a charcoal BBQ and has steps up to a lawn area with garden furniture and panoramic view of the estuary and out to sea. There is roadside parking and public car park available, subject to availability and please note local charges apply.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Excellent cottage- well equipped and furnished. Great position on the estuary with views from a lovely garden. One of the best we have stayed in so have booked for 2021.

We had a lovely stay at Seabirds. We've stayed before and have booked again for next year. I always keep an eye on any new holiday lets on various sites, but they never meet all the criteria for us like Seabirds does. Perfect cottage, perfect location, and so well equipped. We pay to park nearby for the week in advance (it's still cheaper than our town parking) no hassle. Our 3rd visit and we've booked our 4th already. If we review it too well, it might get booked too quickly though!

A lovely well equipped cottage in a great position on Irsha Street. Easy to park outside to load and unload car with ample parking in Appledore itself. A good place to have wonderful walks and enjoy the ever moving scenery of the estuary. There are a variety of places to eat and drink in Appledore even with the covid restrictions but do book beforeRead morehand. Lovely cosy cottage in a good location, walking distance to pubs, restaurants etc. Although there is no parking outside the cottage you are able to unload/load and then just at the top of the road or around the corner there is plenty space. The location, garden and view sold us on this cottage and were just as lovely in real life. We spent a very comfortable and cosy week in this beautiful cottage at the quiet end of the village close to the beaches. Cottage was very well equipped.

We had the most wonderful time at Seabirds. The cottage is ideally situated in the village, with amazing views from the bedrooms and the garden across the estuary. The bed was so comfortable that I slept far better than at home. The cottage was really well equipped and homely. We will definitely visit again, Kathy and Millie the Dog

Seabirds is a wonderful cottage situated in a beautiful location. The cottage has everything you could require for a holiday stay. The local amenities are well documented but the friendliness of the people is additionally noteworthy.

The cottage is very comfortable. Fully equipped for a family. Comfy beds, nicely decorated. The wood burner added to the cosy evenings. Close to village, dog friendly pubs. Local shops have good local produce. The tide was in when we visited but local beaches are short drive and have beautiful walks

A lovely cottage in an ideal location in Appledore. A short stroll to the wonderful pubs. Cottage is fully equipped with everything that you could need, comfy beds, spacious bathroom, wood burner for those chilly evenings. A lovely little garden where you can enjoy the beautiful views across to Instow. It was definitely a home from home.

We just loved this cottage. Everything was there, it really was like a home from home. The view was amazing, the location was perfect. Just loved the little streets. There was plenty of space in the cottage for a family, the kitchen and bathroom were fantastic. Even our cocker spaniel felt at home right from the start. Beautiful cottage, tastefully furnished in an ideal location. The view, across the estuary, especially from the bedrooms was stunning. Safe secure garden for the dog.
