A lovely cottage with attention to detail, located in a village close to Stamford Bridge. This charming property offers the perfect getaway with much to explore, from York to the North Yorkshire Moors.

This delightful cottage offers the perfect getaway. Ideally located only a short drive or bus ride to the beautiful ancient walled City of York. The cottage is perfectly positioned as a base to explore the stunning Yorkshire Wolds, North Yorkshire Moors and Coast. The beautiful Castle Howard is also a short drive and well worth a visit as is Burnby Hall in nearby Pocklington. There is a huge choice of attractions close by ranging from National Trust properties such as the Treasurer's home in York and Benningbrough Hall as well as lovely market towns to discover.

Entering through the front door you will find the cosy lounge on the right with open fire and comfortable sofas, kick off your shoes, relax and enjoy a board game or your favourite film together on the smart tv/dvd. Venturing down the hall the dining area with a wood burner leads into the well-equipped kitchen with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer dishwasher and washing machine. A lovely spot to cook and socialise together, off the kitchen is a light-filled conservatory with lovely sofa and chair to enjoy a morning cup of tea or a good book which looks out over the garden. Heading upstairs you will find three impressive bedrooms, a delightful twin room with large built in storage space, a single bedroom retaining its original cast iron fire place with dressing table and a wardrobe and a lovely double bedroom with views onto the garden and countryside beyond. Also on this floor you will find the bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Head up to the second floor and you will find the most charming games room, fun for all the family complete with small pool table and table football, plenty of games and chill out area.

Across the shared driveway open the gate and take the steps down to the enclosed garden with patio, lawn, charcoal BBQ and table and chairs to enjoy al fresco dining. The garden also has a  swing, slide and wendy house to keep little ones entertained. There are two off-road parking spaces and a bike store on the shared driveway.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

We ( 4 adults & 2 dogs) stayed at Cherry Garth Cottage for 4 nights at the end of September. It is a lovely, happy cottage and has everything you need. Love the owner's artwork and up-cycling! Lovely cottage with everything you need in a pretty village. Rob and Marion on hand and very accommodating to make sure your stay is absolutely perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Cherry Garth Cottage. The cottage is finished beautifully in a colourful, artistic yet rural style. Cake and wine on arrival was a very welcome touch, more so the bottle of milk in the fridge. Owners Rob and Marion were very nice and had thought of everything, even the local A & E which I needed after breaking my wrist.
