This is an ideal base for those looking to explore this beautiful area which has so much to see. Mithian with its traditional pub is a much sought-after village nestling just inland from the coast and located just a short drive from St Ives to the west and Newquay and The Eden Project to the East. Perranporth, a popular seaside resort, is a short drive away and is renowned for its golden sands, surfing beaches and amazing coast paths. Also nearby is the village of St Agnes with fine eateries and stunning scenery. For the walkers amongst you, take a moment to breathe some new life into your walking boots with a stroll along the south west coastal path.

Upon arrival enter this stunning 18th century listed cottage into the open-plan lounge/diner. Traditionally styled with exposed beams and coal effect gas fire. The perfect place to relax and chat about the day’s adventures or for those cooler months snuggle up in front of the TV (with Netflix) and take in your favourite movie in front of the coal effect gas fire. From the lounge/diner a passageway will lead you to the kitchen that is just perfect for all your holiday home cooking requirements comprising of an electric oven and hob, fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. Adjacent to the kitchen is the ground floor shower room with shower and WC. A central staircase will lead you up to the first floor where the bedrooms are located. The master suite has a boutique style king-size, beautifully furnished with quality linen to ensure that blissful night’s sleep and a further bedroom with two single beds.

Heading outside there is an enclosed garden with patio furniture. The cottage provides a private double parking space.

  • 1 dog allowed. Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week
  • There is an Accidental Damage Deposit of £200 when booking at this property, however this may be waived for £25. We’ll provide more details about this when booking your holiday.

A beautiful little thatched cottage in a small village with a fantastic pub just across the road. What a lovely Retreat the Tuckaway Thatch is, nestled in the quiet Village of Mithian with a superb Local Pub - The Miners Arms - to refresh after a day of exploring.. Womderful house, looks like it escaped a movie scene. Extremely clean, exceptional welcome hamper and cosy atmosphere inside. Lovely and cosy little cottage- extremely friendly hosts - who gave us a warm welcome and surprised us with lovely gifts and treats. The pub across the street is perfect. Dogfriendly , family friendly. We have had a wonderful time in this unique cottage.

Tuckaway Thatch was picture postcard. The cottage had everything you needed for a comfortable and relaxing holiday. My wife and I were taken back with the excellent welcoming packs. The location is brilliant to access local beaches. Mithian is a lovely village with very friendly locals a great pub which cannot be faulted for its excellent food and Read moredrink. We loved staying in Tuckaway Thatch. The cottage is just perfect, although it is small it's very well equipped and beautifully decorated. The welcome pack was the best we had ever had, so generous and even included a very welcome bottle of wine.
